Hoochenanny
The band was absolutely having a blast. Jim was smiling the whole set and laughing at one point. Great setlist and the vibe of the whole event was really fun and non-corporate. And they used their entire time. Maybe left one minute on the table. 🤘
If I won the lottery I’d hire moe. to play a 3 hr 30 minute Rebubula at the Sphere while Nolan’s Odyssey plays behind them.

Here you guys, fun meeting a few of yall last night! M
I have been compiling a list of random band names for years
It once got accidentally deleted by a boomer somehow, years ago, and it took me awhile to get back on the horse. but here it is. Feel free to use any of them for your band. Almost all of them are taken straight from conversations with zero context. Like when you go "ope, New band name, I call it" when someone says "yeah that's about as good of an idea as a lead zepplin!"

Howdy! My name is Turner and I run The Sandbox Channel accounts on the internets. If you haven't heard of it, I take bootleg Mikey era Widespread Panic videos and do my best to make them better. That can be with an upgraded audio source, stabilization, de-noising, de-graining, upscaling, and color correcting if necessary. Through that account, I have received a decent amount of non-Panic video that I have started transferring and putting up on a second YouTube account called 'The JamBox Channel'. Most of it so far is coming from the archives of a cat named dead_ed_u_know_it on Instagram. Today I put up an Umphrey's McGee show from 2002, which is what the clip I posted is from. I'm hoping to get a pro-shot Leftover Salmon '97 show up in the next couple of days as well. Here is what is on the channel so far...
Bruce Hornsby
Blueground Undergrass
Outformation
Codetalkers w/ Col. Bruce Hampton
Dr. John & The Lower 911
Todd Snider
RatDog
Leftover Salmon
Railroad Earth
əkoostik hookah

String Cheese or Kitchen Dwellers/Dogs In A Pile
Looking to catch one of these shows in the Detroit Area.
String cheese is there Nov 5 and Kitchen Dwellers/Dogs In A Pile are playing Nov 12.
Realistically can only swing one. Haven’t seen any of them live before. I do enjoy The Dweller’s studio material more than Cheese.
Anyone seen them all and have a recommendation on which show would be more fun? Big Billy and Greensky fan. Love spacey, psychedelic, jammy grass.
Cheers

Holy dang, love me some Beans.

What’s the best US/Canada small venue in the jam scene right now?
Been thinking about how much the room matters.
Some of my favourite shows weren’t in huge venues. Just smaller places where you’re close to the band and the crowd is locked in.
Ardmore is a good example for me. Small room, great scene, always feels like the right size for the music.
Curious to know what your favorites are.
Spafford (Phish MSG) latenight show VIDEO PREMIERE (8/20)

Just Announced: Dogs In A Pile X Kitchen Dwellers Fall Tour
Mountain Grass Unit - 17 Aug 2026 (Cleveland, OH)
I saw MGU on the first night of their Appalachian Smoke Tour, kicking off at Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, OH.
They were already good the first time I saw them last year and have somehow managed to get even better. The whole band was on fire! They played anything from originals to standards to spacey jams.
Here are the tour dates: SHOWS
If they're coming close to you, do yourself a favor and GO. I'm convinced that these dudes are some of the best around right now and wouldn't be surprised if they blow up within the next few years.
Moe is tearing down garcias right now
Holy shit I think this is the best show I’ve seen here. They are killing it
