Can someone explain to me the whole line thing with goose fans?

I get it with the rail riders at phish and when there is a GA floor but these fans line up hours before shows with assigned seats. I was at the past few shows last week and there have been vendors there trying to have a lot scene and no one shows up but there will be 100 people in line.

Crickets & Cicadas on the 4th at Free Will Brewing

Like most of the music they play, this started as a Dead song, but I will need to see the set list to guess which one.

Magoo Gospel ROMP

Magoo (Late Night Set)
“Crying Holy Unto The Lord”
06/27/26 Owensboro, KY
ROMP Bluegrass Festival

These Magoo cats are no strangers to putting on a good after party, regardless of the conditions. The rain started to come on strong at the beginning of their set but that didn’t stop them or the crowd from getting down. It doesn’t get much better than Gospel Jamgrass in the Bluegrass state. As the second tune of their set that night, the guys then got out there into songs like “Beauty Of My Dreams” & “Midnight Moonlight” before circling back towards the end of the set with a praising “Rank Stranger”.

Need help finding a specific type of jam/released song

I just saw SCI in Charlottesville last month for the first time(absolutely fantastic btw), but they had one specific jam with a techno or edm kind of beat under it that I loved, it almost sounded like intergalactic by the beastie boys. I’ve tried to look around online for similar songs and jams with no success, if anyone could please recommend me similar songs or jams I would really appreciate it. Valley of the Jig seems to be closest I can find at the moment but it’s still not really close at all. Just want to find something while I wait a month for the Nugs crew to release the set, thank you in advance!

Claypool Gold, Long Beach

The trek to and from the venue is a chore, but wow, Claypool Gold in Long Beach was a helluva good time. Mosh pits in the sunset, the Queen Mary Larry, and a “Mirror in the Bathroom” send off. Les and Co still bringing it.

Does anyone have the jam band meme (covid years) that depicts...

...A set of stairs. Top stair - GD and then descends to Phish - Umphs - Disco Bs, on and on and the last step is Twiddle aka "taking an shit" (disclosure - I like Twiddle)

Happy 4th of July - Watch Dispatch and G. Love Cover Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" at Stone Pony Summer Stage (Asbury Park, NJ)

Happy 4th of July! While this year marks America's 250th birthday, it also marks exactly a year since I saw Dispatch live at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ. Making this awesome show even better was the fact that my best friends from college came down for the show as well (because if you went to college in the 2000s, it's a good chance Dispatch could be heard in the dorm hallways). Another highlight of the night, though, was seeing Dispatch joined onstage by their fellow tour mates - including G. Love - to play a cover of Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" - which felt rather fitting for 4th of July.

Check out a snippet of the live cover in this clip, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

Anyone know anything about Andy Franco playing a private party tonight on Long Island?

I know he’s around for the show tomorrow and I heard something thru the grapevine
