Cloud9 just finished a perfect split, going 7-0 in the regular season. In fact, they’ve yet to lose a regular season game in 2026. If we exclude the short splits, they’re only the second team to achieve this, ironically following Team Liquid in Summer 2024.

The 2026 Esports World Cup is reportedly moving its entire operation from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Paris, France.

While the third edition of the massive multi-title event was originally scheduled to take place in the Saudi capital between July and August, organizers have begun informing key stakeholders, per a GamesBeat report, that the festival will be relocated to the French capital.

The shift reportedly stems because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which made the organizers concerned about player safety as well as logistics.

Fans of VALORANT are going crazy on the internet, as new rumours suggest, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, the undisputed face of North American VALORANT, may be coming out of his recent retirement to represent Canada.

According to several industry insiders and social media leaks, the popular pro player turned content creator has allegedly been selected for the Canadian national roster ahead of the upcoming Esports Nations Cup (ENC).

While the news itself is huge, nothing can be said for sure right now as none of the rumours have been backed by official sources yet. Neither the ENC organizing committee nor TenZ himself has released an official statement regarding his participation.

The Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026 was announced on August 23, 2025, with Electronic Arts, Krafton, Tencent, and Ubisoft as co-developers for the inaugural edition.

Shortly after this, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) revealed that they had mutually agreed to end their cooperation for the Olympic Esports Games, the first edition of which was set to take place in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia itself.

The SOPC had partnered with the Esports Foundation (then called the Esports World Cup Foundation) to organize it.
