Point and Shoot cameras?

Sorry in advance for the essay.

I'm sure this topic has been worn out, but I really would like some advice on this. I've done a looot of research. There is not a ton of detailed info regarding pocket cameras and car photography. I mostly care to do car shows or photoshoots, not so much for track days or long range shots. I'm pretty green to the hobby besides just having fun with it!

I don't want to carry my ILC Canon camera around all the time, but I love to stop and take pics of my cars when I find a nice spot or have some free time. I'm curious what the best and most compact point and shoot (preferably under $2k) would be for this. I really like shooting at 50mm with my Canon, but I'd consider both a fixed lens or a zoom lens.

I want to get nice dof when possible, and hopefully with the whole car in-frame, so a fast lens and larger sensor size seems like it should be my priority.

I have tried a ricoh gr iv and Panasonic zs200. Both awesome cameras but probably not the best for this.

Something compact is a high priority.

I considered a rx100 vii or a g7 x mk iii because they both have 1 inch sensors and a pretty wide aperture, but the markups right now are insane and I don't really require the newest and best camera.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. If anyone can share examples of pics along with what they have used, I'd be extremely grateful.

Love this thing <3

I mostly see people posting their issues or looking for repair advice (which is perfectly fine) but I just wanted to share something positive on here today. This car has been stupidly fun. Especially for a crossover. It gets tons of compliments everywhere I go. It's been a treat to own and drive. Y'all have a good day!

Just got my camera and took some pictures while visiting my grandparents out in the hills. Very new to this type of camera, but I'm having fun! No edits other than barely cropping a few of them.

*Bonus pic of my cat at the end
