My First Finished Object(s)

I finished my first ever 'Actual Thing' in crochet! Some cute little slightly wonky washcloths! I feel so accomplished! and I kinda love how wobbly they are.

I learned so much making them, can't wait to learn more

Rainbow Vest is (almost) done!

I did it!

I designed and made 12 strips of torchon, and sewed them together to make the front and back of a flowy rainbow lace vest! (Pics 1 2 3)

Pic 4 shows the next step to ACTUALLY finish this peice - making the sides to join the red front to the orange back under the arm. (and then the same for the purple front to the blue back on the other side)

I decided on shorter and narrower strips of each colour that feature honeycomb ground 'holes' along the side, in order to thread a ribbon through to join them together (shoelace / corset style) at whatever width looks best. And to cap off an insane project with an insane idea, i am BOBBIN LACING MY OWN RIBBON with the dame colour threads. Here's hoping i have enough thread left on the spool to replenish the worker if I run out 😆

Once it is complete I will post a pic of me actually wearing it! I can’t beleive I'm this close!

I bought a vintage pillow with some lace-in-progress still on it, and am endeavoring to continue it! (You may remember my excited post about finding this treasure)

I am wondering if anyone has an inkling of what style of lace this hand-drawn pattern might be? I'm thinking maybe Bedfordshire? (Other aspects of the pillow and bobbins lead me to beleive the original owner was English or at least studied English lacemaking, though I could be wrong)

Only one repetition of the pattern was complete when I bought it, so I don't want to un-make it to learn the thread paths as I don't want to completely undo the only bit of the original.

Myself and the ladies in my local lace club have examined it and concluded that the original owner was herself trying to figure out the pattern and did not necessarily understand it, and I have determined how to do the headside in a different manner than her first attempt.

My problem is the footside: the two lines and the pinholes right beside each other are confusing me. Do you think it's meant to be a trail, as in Bedfordshire, and there are supposed to be more pinholes along it, and the plaits bounce off it?

Or is there a different style with this type of footside?
