Crazy Fact About Ma Longs Dominance

Crazy Fact About Ma Longs Dominance

ma Long Literally doesnt have a single negative H2H (head to head) against any player ever except for WCQ that has played him more than 5 times. an example people like to bring up is wang hao however ma long is still 29-26 against him, i know wang hao has been better in big games but on the topic of h2h's wang hao is still negative against Ma long. What about WCQ made ma long lose 7 times against him whilst only winning twice??

Ronaldo Vs Messi (2003-2026) seasons Based on G/A Only Which is as individual of a stat as it gets for an offensive player.

IMPORTANT: messi was 16 in 2003 while ronaldo was 18 But REGARDLESS i will start the list from 2003 to give ronaldo a headstart (he needs it)

2003-2004: Ronaldo 🇵🇹 17 G/A > 0 G/A 🇦🇷

2004-2005 Ronaldo 🇵🇹 28 G/A > 1 G/A 🇦🇷

2005-2006 Ronaldo 🇵🇹 25 G/A > 16 G/A 🇦🇷

2006-2007 Ronaldo 🇵🇹 44 G/A > 26 G/A 🇦🇷

2007-2008: Ronaldo 🇵🇹 53 G/A > 35 G/A 🇦🇷

2008-2009: Messi🇦🇷 60 G/A > 36 G/A 🇵🇹

2009-2010: Messi 🇦🇷 60 G/A > 45 G/A 🇵🇹

2010-2011: Messi 🇦🇷 89 G/A > 75 G/A 🇵🇹

2011-2012: Messi🇦🇷 118 G/A > 86 G/A 🇵🇹

2012-2013: Messi 🇦🇷 87 G/A > 73 G/A 🇵🇹

2013-2014: Ronaldo 🇵🇹 76 G/A > 64 G/A 🇦🇷

2014-2015: Messi 🇦🇷 94 G/A > 87 G/A 🇵🇹

2015-2016: Messi 🇦🇷 78 G/A > 74 G/A 🇵🇹

2016/2017: Messi 🇦🇷 75 G/A > 69 G/A 🇵🇹

2017-2018: Messi 🇦🇷 73 G/A > 65 G/A 🇵🇹

2018-2019: Messi 🇦🇷 74 G/A > 41 G/A 🇵🇹

2019-2020: Messi 🇦🇷 57 G/A > 51 G/A 🇵🇹

2020-2021: Messi 🇦🇷 62 G/A > 55 G/A 🇵🇹

2021-2022: Messi 🇦🇷 37 G/A > 36 G/A 🇵🇹

2022/2023: Messi 🇦🇷 65 G/A > 29 G/A 🇵🇹

2023-2024: Ronaldo 🇵🇹 72 G/A > 45 G/A 🇦🇷

2024-2025: Messi 🇦🇷 50 G/A > 48 G/A 🇵🇹

2025-2026: Messi 🇦🇷 75 G/A > 42 G/A 🇵🇹

             FINAL CONCLUSION AND NOTES

Messi: 1341 G/A Total in 1168 Games (Positive G/A Ratio)

Ronaldo: 1228 G/A TOTAL in 1330 Games (negative G/A Ratio)

Seasons better: Ronaldo : 7 seasons better

Seasons better: Messi: 16 seasons better (more than double ronaldos)

NOTE: messi wasnt a first squad player till 2005-2006 season thus allowing ronaldo to have a huge headstart, Note: 2013 messi was injured allowing ronaldo to have the season, Despite these notes i have still given ronaldo the deserved win and even with a headstart messi abssolutely demolished ronaldo in completeness and Dominance and individual important and greatness.

serious question and all bias and ronaldo Vs messi debates aside, Where would HALF of messi's career rank if there was a player who had HALF the career messi did?? Career below

messi has played from 2004-5 all the way till 2026 if we split his career into 2 and include half of his career where does a player with this career rank in the all time football players???

  • 4 Ballon D'ors

  • 5 Laliga Titles

  • 3 Copa Del rey titles

  • 4 Spanish Super cup

  • 2 Champions league titles

  • 2 Uefa Super Cup

  • 1 Ligue 1 trophy

  • 1 World Cup

  • 1 copa america

  • 3 European Golden Shoes

  • 573 Games

  • 135 Assists

  • 390 Goals

  • 525 G/A

now keep in mind this is missing ALOTTT of trophies and other stats that would just be too much to write but these stats included (keep in mind this just HALF of his career) where would this player rank??? for me personally this is the 5th best player of all time

1- Messi

HUGEEEEE GAP

2- Ronaldo

GAP

3- Pelè

slight gap

4- Maradona

5- Half of messis's career

SLIGHT GAP

6- Johan cruyff

Tomokazu Harimotos serves

Can someone please explain why harimoto does his serves like this??? he grips the racket with all his hand, and he kind of serves his pendulum like a tomahawk serve but not curved... i mean its just a weird serving style to me

for the criteria and what i based my list off, was that i tried to ignore team championships and medals and achievements as much as possible to make it a true INDIVIDUAL based ranking, and this is what i managed to think of.

who is most likely to be Future Wr 1 for a long time, Sora, Felix Or Harimoto?

currently 3 players are incredibly consistent and are winning tournament after tournament and with wang chuqins injuries, and his most probable decline after 2028 olympics, its very likely one of these 3 players will overtake wang and become Wr 1. Out of these 3 who do you guys have in ur opinion to take the throne??? me personally i have Felix lebrun to be wr 1 in the next 2-3 years, this is just because i feel like he has the best mental state and Stableness currently, Sora is Very quickly also becoming a comeback king but not to the level of tomu and felix, and Tomu lately feels like a player who On one hand has his japanese teammates fully figured out, however struggles against felix massively.

2012 Zhang Jike in Todays Era. How would he perform if he was put into a wtt champions tournament Without special preparation for todays players.

Ok Now we ALL know that 2012 Zhang Jike was an absolute beast and even the few years after that, but Putting aside all nostalgia bias, and accounting for the almost 15 years difference factor in playstyle and players between 2012 and now, my question is if we put in the EXACT version and physical readiness of a 2012 olympics FINAL zhang jike, how would he do against the current player base IF (Important) he wasn't allowed to study ANY players playstyle and wasnt allowed to prepare SPECIFICALLY for the players, he would still be able to train normally and do the stuff he does besides what i said. how would he truly do??? would he just win every wtt tournament?? or would he struggle for several tournaments until he adjusts or would he be good enough to adjust right away??

If Joo Sae Hyuk came back to todays game in his absolute prime, peak physical shape, and prime age, what ranking do you think he would be able to achieve???

with fang bo coming back and all, im really curious to see your guy's opinions and expectations for a hypothetical, and that would be a Prime peak shape joo sae hyuk return to todays game, we all know that joo gave ma long the most gruesome matches during his prime and probably advanced ma longs technique against backspin far better than any of his coaches🧐😅😅 but on a serious note if he could keep up with the GOAT and occasionally have beaten him, would he make it into the top 100 today? top 75? 50? 25? 10???? let me know why u would place him in the ranking u think he would get to.. i personally dont think he'd crack the top 100 with how aggressive, and attacking style based the game is right now, and the bigger balls as oppoosed to before 2014 also definitely dont help😔😔😔

Whats Going On with Fang Bo's Game since his Return???

i, Like many as im sure were really excited when Fang Bo announced his return to wtt tournaments as i always felt like fang was overshadowed by the Best chinese national team ever (Ma, Xu, and ZJK) because of this i really felt like a player as good as him returning would give the game a Glimpse of the old playing style yk a bit of good nostalgia However these hopes were cut short extremely quickly as fang seems a shell of what he was once, almost like he retired 10 years ago when its been 5. Okay enough backstory lets get to the real analysis i've uncovered so far, so the MAIN thing before all else is the painfully awful cardio and endurance fang bo has come back with that has let him down on multiple occasions and almost every match he's lost has had his bad endurance play a big part in it, An example from very recent would be his 0-3 loss to Khanak Jha which included a ttr challenge from him abt Jha's service toss angle which just baffled me because anyone playing professional table tennis would know that due to how high jha tosses his ball during his serve would make it Extremely Extremely unlikely to exceed the 30 degree allowance and fang bo would have known that 1000000000% before he challenged and he looked absolutely drained and and fatigued like he had just ran a 5 kilometer, which is why he most likely used his challenge to catch his breath and also slow down kanaks's momentum a bit.

SECOND Major flaw in his game currently is his Wide forehand which got exploited ALSO during not only the kanak jha's match but all of his previous matches, this particular flaw is arguably the worst one since fang bo really loves to serve and pivot to his forehand for his 3rd ball attack HOWEVER he always leaves his wide forehand extremely exposed with the table fully open for an easy block or redirect off his serve, and to go further into another thing, fang bo's recovery after he banana flicks during serve recieve is sadly just not good enough to be in position in time for the next shot, and this leads to him being forced away from the table into an umcomfortable rally.

Please list any other flaws you think are currently holding fang bo back from Hopefully reaching his best again and Maybe even a chance at becoming great again without being in the shadows of ma long.

Me PERSONALLY if i was fang bo and could only focus on 1 thing before my next wtt tournament, it would definitely be to definitely prioritize My cardio based training and to get in the best shape possible eventually in order to Really reduce early onset Fatigue and delayed reactions due to the extreme tiredness caused by his lack of physical training. (Xu Xin admitted in an interview after he and ma long won the chinese games doubles tournament that when ma long called him to get him as his doubled partner, he spent a VAST MAJORITY of his training time he was given by doing gym work, endurance and cardio, and only tt practice as the cherry on top.

"Can't Trick a Trickster" Why Hasn't Anders lind Ever managed to Beat Truls Moregaard yet????

Truls and Anders seemingly have very similar playstyles both relying on deception, unpredictability and variation in their game despite still having very high technical abilities.

despite this similarity in their Head to head matches truls has won every single time and leads 10-3 in Sets across all 3 times they've faced each other, and in their most recent matchup truls beat anders 3-0. its well known that anders has a history of bad mentality and not very hopeful or positive when hes Losing, however lind has also been improving his mental and technical game and, i guess im wondering where it goes wrong for Anders whenever it is that he faces Truls??? im only curious because they're so interesting to watch and im curious to what u guys might think is the reason anders cant get past truls

u/OilJealous8269 — 10 days ago

Noshad Alamiyan's career

I've just seen his Europe smash qualifier round Loss, for context he lost to a polish top 200 player when he was up 2-0 in sets in a best to 5... and GOD this guys attitude and sportsmanship really just sucks its not even the fact that he throws a fit everytime he loses a set but also between almost every single point lost, he finds an excuse to complain abt, its very rare to see him lose a point and carry on like a normal player he just doesnt seem to accept that sometimed u lose a point because u got OUTPLAYED. theres been so many instances of him being unsportsmanlike and just horrible to deal with, for instance there was also a time where he screamed mid point while the point was still being played against anders and said that he didnt know that screaming DURING a point was against the rules which is just total BS and decided to not give anders lind the point or a Let (he still lost that match thankfully) as a player noshads serves and backhand are probably at the level of a top 10 player but due to his neurological hand issue, his forehand is just NON existent and can only sometimes be used as a weak and passive block which unfortunately means he wont ever get far now and should just enjoy how far hes already gotten with no forehand. it just sucks seeing such an impressive backhand only playstyle in the pro level with such an awful attitude and victim mentality.

Struggling against heavy topsin serve

for context, at my club we do knockout style tournaments every 2 weeks to improve our game styles and such, and one thing i struggle with the MOST, is the serve one of my opponents does which is a Super heavy Short topsin (with a bit of reverse side spin) serve to my wide forehand and its basically Impossible for me to get a good quality return when i flick or push or try to drop it short its just way too low to the net and very loaded with reverse spin topspin.

  • the opponent also has a very good 3rd ball attack and destroys any recieve that isnt high quality.

  • backhand Bomba flicks

  • pushes and chops (amount of spin) good or bad

  • im not a backhand looper so i only care about the spin it can produce on pushes and chopblocks.

Holy Fucking shit...... Please upvote.

Please please upvote this. messi has quite literally shaken hands with the gods of football as he has FINISHED FOOTBALL quite literally Read this poem for more info...

Goals: Top 2

Assists: Top 1

G/A: Top 1

goals per 90 ratio (above 900 goals): top 1

passing: top 1

vision: top 1

Football Iq: top 1

Hattricks: top 2

freekicks: top 1

penalties: top 2

dribbling: top 1

Non penalty goals: top 1

weak foot goals: top 2

individual wc player: top 1

individual trophies: Top 1

Team trophies: Top 1

THIS LEVEL OF DOMINANCE IS NOT FUCKING NORMAL PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND HOW INSANE IT IS TO EVEN BE TOP 5 in ONE of these stats. now that u've understood that, just understand that messi is at the top of EVERY single offensive stat known to football except heading since hes 169cm

incase u think mbappes the best wc player, he has 22 goals and 6 assists putting him at top 2 of all time with 28 G/A, Messi has 21 goals and 12 assists putting him at top 1 of all time with 33 G/A

(mbappe will most probably take over 1st place by next wc but even then messi will most likely be cemented at the 2nd best for a long long long time and 1st best for atleast 4 more years🙏🙏)

1 in a 1000 year type of Dominance and genetic freak

If we were to rank messi in every single OFFENSIVE footballing statistic he would be 1st in everything hes even slightly specialized in and top 2-5 in everything else. this kind of cross statistic dominance is unheard of in every other sport on this planet its literally unfathomable how its possible that 1 player is able to complete a sport to this level.

finishing: top 1 (no player with a high goal scoring statistic comes close to messis conversion rate as a finisher having scored 925+ goals with a 18-20% conversion rate will never be beaten) only ppl with higher conversion rates than messi have SIGNIFICANTLY less goals and thus not counted)

passing: top 1

vision: top 1

football IQ (general): top 1

    Dribbling
* Ball control TOP 1 in ALL OF THESE
* First touch
* Agility
* Balance
* Close control

pace on the ball: top 1

physicality: top 2-5 (if u think physicality has to do with abs or physique then ur braindead) messi is almost impossible to get off the ball without fouling him.

mentality/leadership: top 1 (no other national team has or will EVER fight for a player like argentina fought tooth and nails for messi as their leader (2021-2026 team)

if you could Have any pro players EXACT playstyle immediately who would it be and why???

just a heads up, i dont want everyone to say FZD or ma long or ZJK just because u know they're the best, instead i want some unique answers or players that made u fall in love with tt. me personally i'd choose Anders lind purely for the fact that his style is so satisfying to watch, so creative and probably has the most feeling outside of Waldner and maybe Truls, but his serves are so insanely deceptive and his backhand bomba is done with almost no backswing (WCQ suffered alot because of this)
