En tant que parent, êtes vous inquiet par rapport à l'IA ?

J'espère que c'est juste une bulle qui va éclater dans quelques mois et qu'on repassera en mode "normal".

Quand je vois des collègues ne plus réfléchir et faire que du copilot alors qu'ils ont fait eux même le travail durant des années, je me demande comment mes enfants apprendront à réfléchir s'ils ne l'auront jamais appris à faire.

Quel métiers pourraient-ils faire ? Ce sera forcément un travail manuel irremplaçable comme paysagiste ou plombier.

Mais si tous les enfants font ça dans 20 ans, il n'y aura pas assez de client pour les payer tous correctement.

En supposant que ces clients auront conservé leur jobs malgré l'IA.

H(35) papa de G(6) et F(4), et heureux en couple depuis 10 ans.

J'ecris ceci afin d'avoir des avis et des conseils.

Quand mon fils est né, j'avais une connexion magique, limite spirituelle, avec lui.

J'étais réellement son tout. A un point, que la maman se sentait mal de ne pas être plus impliqué.

Plus le temps passe, j'ai l'impression que cette connexion est de moins en moins.

Je me considère un papa très très impliqué qui met en priorité les besoins des petits et la famille.

Il y a évidemment les vacances qui ont bousculé toute notre rythme et c'est très fatiguant.

Ce qui me dérange le plus dans tout ça, c'est le manque de connexion, et d'affection que j'ai avec mon fils.

Ma fille c'est différent, on se fait beaucoup de câlins et des moments réels d'affection.

Mon fils, c'est un garçon très énergétique de 6 ans. Donc les câlins finissent toujours par faire mal !

Je tente de me reconnecter avec lui en passant des moments qu'avec lui (faire des légos, du vélo, accrobranche). Mais je n'ai pas l'impression que ça change au fond.

Pour lui, j'imagine qu'il ne capte absolument rien ( et tant mieux).

En tout cas, moi, ça me fait énormément de peine.

Quelqu'un connait la même chose ? Comment rattraper pour que ce ne soit pas un regret dans 20 ans ?

Went to le Morne this week after (15+ years) and had a funny thought.

Le Morne is a magnificent place known for its natural beauty and for its bloody history of slavery.

Not there, I could only find luxurious hotels and shops or mall, some so pricey, that mauritians cannot even afford them. All centered around the White population there.

In hotels, so many workers are not even mauritian.

It's has gone full circle. From getting out of slavery to going back to it but in the modern world. ​​​

We are mauritians working abroad and we are thinking about building a house near Calodyne (already have the land).
Our idea is a "normal" house with 3/4 rooms.

We are worried about how to follow up with the construction since we are not here.

Did any of you do that ?

What constructeur did you go with ?

Firstly, I Will Just put it out there. I dont live in Mauritius anymore.

So my opinion is based only on what im told and what I can find online.

Basically what I find and I really hope you can tell me It's not the case generally.

There is no "hope" for the political futur of the country. We keep saying the youth Will vote differently but every 5 years, we get the same things.

Inflation is off the roof. People are having more and more difficulties to live confortably.

Work is so hard to find. And when found, the work space does not feel safe or healthy. The managers and ceo are considered to be gods.

Corruption is at the same level as it has been (very obviously and visibly corrupt).

Crime rates are so up. And nothing tangible is being done, even at the individual's level. ​

What are your thoughts ? Lets try to take a step back and be critical of our home country (good and bad) ​

People will be saying It's the same in EU.

But I can assure you that my peers and family with the same Jobs as me in mauritius are less secure than me.
