Sydney swans reinforcing status quo

AFL fans defending all players involved in true cognitive dissonance.

Again.

17 years since the Johns brothers were exposed by 4corners Code of Silence, and protected for their involvement in gang rape. Forums then were no different to today.

When men hate women as systemically as they do, they band together to reinforce violence against women by pushing known myths and appealing to biases.

Shame must switch sides.

DofE

Edward took on Charles over their mother's estate and won. What will become of the title once Edward dies?

How much of a fight do you think there will be over Charles' estate? And who will be Harry's Anne?

Eastern Roswellas

Why are we not blowing up about Eastern Rosellas on Reddit? It's been a week and this kid is all over the radio with covers already.

It's the song we all need so I think we should nominate it for our national anthem. How do we make this happen Reddit?

300 character minimum. Gosh 300 is a lot.

Why do people complain so much about Palmie when it was a total ghetto for decades?

Karen, Mick Fanning the Teams Outta crew really trashed the Glink heading south but people have just become so BITTER about Palmie.

Why when it was a known ghetto? It has a cute town centre, some great dining options, fabulous creek life and is very walkable. Traffic is insane and I would never live there but am careful about what rimes I visit. Why so angry and bitter palmie people? So many people I know moved out of Palmie citing "lifestyle change" when noone lived there and the apartments were holiday lets. Again, they are reminiscing the ghetto years when the only jobs were in tourism and hospo.

Independent financial review of Queensland Police Service referred to the Crime and Corruption Commission

A consultant who used to work for treasury undertook the report but we're not being given specifics or who commissioned the report.

Why were civilians funded? Police need increased civilian oversight and Im curious if this was a reform attempt or a white anting attempt consideting aggrssive refusals yo regorm persist against funded governmwnt attempts to implement recommendations to prevent DFSV which is continuing unpoliced in QPS.

QPS remain.unfit for purpose but we are clear how both QPS and QPU muddy the waters.

This has all the hallmarks of another QPU smear campaign.

Full room at Southport YC tonight

Does anyone watch the news anymore on FTA? I haven't watched ch9 in forever but one of my resident bogans turned it on last night and forgot to turn it back to ABC.

The NIMBYs are out whining about illegal campers. That's the NIMBY euphemism for homeless people. Dog forbid anyone hers acknowledge that homelessness isnt a lifestyle choice.

‘court stacking’ allegations

Australia's courts are already dangerously con servative but the idea that law schools are being systematically infiltrated by ideologues is unsurprising.

Why is it ALWAYS Janet Albrechtsan, IPA, and QLD destroying anything of substance? ALRC was unequivocal certain courts are already unsafe and must be dismantled due to extreme dysfunction imposed by myths and biases fuelled by con servative garbage.

That the RWNJs of Australia seek to dismantle democracy entirely is unsurprising but Gina is chomping at the bit. With a slew of passive billionaires wrecking havoc elsewhere across the country this mess needs to be urgently countered but how? Is a coalition of conservative indies enough to slow the IPA freight train destroying Australia entirely?

Mauricio held back by his children

Now that Mauricio is back on the streets where he belongs and this footage was part of RHOBH lore, how was anyone ever pretending they were "happily married"?

How was this era ever real? People ADORED Kyle. Her crooked finger features prominently in this scene. The only other scene I recall it is from games night at Pam's with Brandi's crutches.

Illicit alcohol

Heard a story on RN this morning about illicit alcohol with ATO estimates conservatively at 500m of lost excise. Followed by a report from ATO on lost taxes from tobacco.

Albo & co know about this but ignore diminishing excises and refuse gas tax which would repair dysfunctional departments. Handing taxes to organised crime, corporates and billionaires is getting old. This BS corrupts police and judiciary and we know lawyers have decriminalised violence. So what's left for regular people? We can't access the legal system. Specialist doctors have privatised health and these predator classes are all privatising education. What's left for regular people?

What hope is there when we're seeing the rise of the global right because of weaponised incompetence from governments? PJON/LNP will destroy amything that's left because of aggresive tefusals to reform dysfinctional systems. People in power are protecting their abuses of powers rather than acknowledge widespread failings and implement reforms.

Gas tax was just the start and they refused and albo & co are still selling gas lobbyist talking points. So will we slide further to the right with our eyes wide open as is happening? The human cost of systemic failures is nauseating and no one cares because the people charged with implementation of reform are blinded by their own privilege enough to dehumanise the rest of us.

Rape culture in church

A girl (child) was stopped by security men from leaving this church due to her discomfort at what was being said so she started recording.

Progressive churches are refusing to acknowledge DFSV and failing to protect women and children but emboldening men.

Men are so terrified by being held accountable that they flock to places where they can distort victimhood, invert the status quo and reinforce broculture.

This post is being censored by hurtbro mods. Men responding from their feelings is weird. Try to focus on facts. .

PHI has become unaffordable to too many of us yet specialist incomes continue to escalate.

Should PHI rebates continue to prop up the rich? These are the same rich people who assert that government spending on welfare is too high yet complain that public health is dysfunctional and that they deserve more because they've "worked harder" and "sacrificed more". Textbook DARVO tactics from the privileged but their blindness to privilege is glaring

The uber rich receive incomes from PHI which has always been subsidised by PHI government rebates.

Private education is also subsidised by these private health providers. Private education should be privately funded not subsidised by taxpayers which entrenches social inequity and access to opportunity. If you want to pay fees your spare money should be going to the poorest children, not simply exploiting them as enrichment activities.
