Best International schools in Tangerang Area

Hi everyone,

My family is planning to move to the Tangerang area, and I'm looking for recommendations for international schools for my 8-year-old daughter.

A few things about our situation:

My daughter's English level is intermediate, so good ESL support would be a plus

We'd love a school with a good mix of foreign students, especially Korean families — it would help her feel more comfortable during the transition

She speaks Korean, Spanish and learning English, She is a little bit shy, So I would like some welcoming environment for her and not much academic pressure, THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Dengue and general health risks in Jakarta — advice for someone moving there?

Hi everyone,

My family and I are planning to move to Jakarta in the near future, and I wanted to get some first-hand advice from people living there.

A few questions:

Dengue fever — How common is it in the city? Are there certain neighborhoods or times of year with higher risk? What precautions do you take (repellents, clothing, home mosquito nets, etc.)?

Pediatric healthcare — Since I'll be moving with my daughter, I'd love recommendations for good pediatricians or hospitals that are used to treating expat families. Is it easy to find English-speaking doctors?

Vaccinations — Are there any vaccines you'd recommend getting before arriving, beyond the standard ones?

General health tips — Anything else I should know about staying healthy in Jakarta (water safety, air quality, food safety, etc.)?

Any advice from parents who've made a similar move would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Jakarta life

We are moving to Jakarta with our family. My husband is Korean, I am Mexican, and we have a 8years old daughter. Which areas and international schools would you recommend? We'd like to live somewhere that doesn't require a long commute to our daughter's school, and we'd also like to be close to hospitals and shopping malls TIA!!
