Hey guys,
I have an Interceptor 650 and i have changed the stock exhaust to the Powerage long-type exhaust.
For the intake, I’m currently using an N-Gage air filter, but I want to keep the stock air-intake cap/cover rather than opening up the intake.(ChatGPT and Gemini suggested that it would act as a cap for the air intake and minimizes the air intake)
My main concern is engine reliability.
Would this combination be safe to run on a completely stock ECU/engine, or could it cause any long-term engine damage? Is an ECU remap/tune necessary with this setup?
Basically, I want a better exhaust sound but I don’t want to compromise engine life or reliability.
Would appreciate advice from people who have actually run this setup on an Interceptor 650.

After two days of installation and running I can hear mild popping sounds from the exhaust after letting out the throttle,is it normal??
