1 Month Post CTAK

Just had my 1-month follow-up after CTAK.

My uncorrected vision improved from 20/80 to 20/60, and my surgeon said everything is healing well.

Comparing my pre-op and 1-month Pentacam, the biggest changes seem to be:

  • Kmax decreased from approximately 57 D to 55 D.

  • The cornea appears more regular with a less pronounced cone.

  • Anterior curvature looks smoother overall.

  • Corneal thickness is stable, and the CTAK segments appear to be integrating well.

  • Posterior elevation/BAD values are still abnormal.

Subjectively, I still have ghosting, but it feels a little less severe. My vision has also become more stable over the past week or two. Outdoors is noticeably better than indoors, and I'm starting to pick up more fine detail than I could a few weeks ago.

For those who have had CTAK, did your Pentacam continue to improve after the 1-month mark? If your K values or topography continued to change, did that translate into less ghosting or better vision by months 2-3?
