Ureaplasma
27F. Not sexually active in years. I have had symptoms since late January of this year. I ignored for about two months as my mom was in the ICU. Tested positive for BV first time in April (treated with metronidazole 7 days), then again in July (metronidazole 7 days) and now a third time (metrogel for 5 days). This time I finally saw my actual gyno and not a PA/NP in the practice. She tested me for ureaplasma which was positive and they said that no one ever thought to test me before because I haven’t been sexually active in years. I was given doxycycline for a week along with the MetroGel for five days. I am just so nervous that that was not enough medication, but I am also simultaneously so sick of being on medication. Did this short of treatment for the ureaplasma work for anyone??
