Ohne speed spreadsheet

I’m on console, and console is on version 1.9 in perpetuity. The spreadsheet is based on PC times on version 1.9.

I’ve heard/read from many people I respect and trust that the PC version (1.9 in this case, since that’s what the spreadsheet is based on) is quicker than console.

So if that’s true, the spreadsheet times are not directly applicable for console users, unless you add .3-.5 across the board.

Speculation aside, does anyone have the facts on this with some reference material or a source?

Monza PC lap times

This image was shared today in our console league.

Said “the grip is just insane” on PC.

My understanding is that time is a full second faster than PC alien qualifying pace.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I’m on console and from what I understand the physics engine on PC allows drivers to be slightly quicker.

To pick a specific example, I wonder how many people in the world on PC or console could do a 1:46.6 on Monza if given an hour?

Are we talking hundreds or thousands? More or less? Anyone have any insight?

Of course, we have to keep in mind that the fastest drivers have moved on to LMU or elsewhere.

I picked a specific track just to keep the conversation focused, but obviously you could use a harder track like Bathurst.

It’s not a question of “who currently playing the game can do this?” It’s more a question of “out of all the sim racers in the world who is capable?”

To sort of start things off, from what I can tell based on my experience on console over the last year or so there are maybe 20 drivers I’ve seen that could do it?

I’ve actually only seen maybe 5 or 6 do it but I would guess since I’m not in every single lobby all the time 24/7, 20 seems like a reasonable number for console.
