I listened to the demo unit of these headphones in a store and didn't notice any issues like crackling or white noise, etc. I also tried the Inzone H9 II and Sony XM6 there, but I liked the Audeze much more, although I did have to tweak them with an EQ to my taste. I've already ordered them (the store only had the demo unit available :) ).

I plan to use them for both music and gaming.

My question is: what kind of issues might I run into? Also, I've heard many people complain about the terrible microphone on these. Is there anything else I should be aware of or keep in mind?"

Also, this is my first major upgrade – before that, I had some random headphones from Sony PlayStation.
