The Alien Hands from "6 | Number Lore", but I Smash Rendered them

For some reason because of these mystery hands, I feel like Mike Salcedo included them as a hidden Smash Bros. referrence.

My layouts is not matching (why on earth is it doing this)

When I apply "Unwrap Conformal" instead of giving me the result on the right it decides to mess it up. This shape is a vector imported SVG and therefore all meshes are 2D. Help please.
