Hey everyone! Does anyone else’s Akita lick and nibble their paw pads and scratch their snout in a weird way at all? His paw pads are slightly pink so I think he may have allergies? Is there any common thing for Akitas about this?

I’ve had my boy here for 3 weeks now, long story behind the rescuing of him but essentially I bonded with him as a pup as our friends have his mum and dad, couldn’t have taken him at the time because of living situation so he was adopted from a family, only to be neglected and given back so I took him on, funny how the universe puts things back in your path isn’t it?

Just noticed his nostrils have started looking like this, does anyone know what this is and should we be concerned?

He dug the corner out and the log on the ground is a tunnel
