My client refuses to wear her dentures and I cannot leave her alone.
I (36F) am a companion Provider and I have one client that absolutely refuses to wear her dentures. Most of the time I can deal with the noises she makes. Some reason today I cannot stand her at all. This makes me feel like the worst person in the world. Due to her disability she cannot stand them so she cannot help this. Misophonia is making it harder and harder to be around her.
Anyway today she decides to order soup, coffee, and a roast beef sandwich. All of which she is slurping, humming and smacking. I am trying really hard to not just go with my gut reaction here. Which if you jave misophonia you know this can be either leave the area or IYKYK.
Not only does it make my skin crawl and instantly angry, I am getting to the point of wanting to quit this client. Please any advise would be great.
