USC spring grade request

hey!! i'm a 1-year ccc transfer applicant to USC to be a incoming sophomore at Marshall for biz admin. my second choice major was sociology at dornsife. Including APs, I would have about 54-58 transferrable credits.

My HS gpa was a 4.4, lots of APs, and I have strong ECs including part time jobs, volunteer hours where i raised large funds as an individual, and starting my own business. My essays were strong too.

My CC GPA for fall/winter was a 4.0. However, the calc 1 requirement for Marshall is only fulfilled by me taking both Calc 1 and Calc 2 at my CC. In fall, i got an A and was like top in my class, but this spring i'm really struggling in Calc 2. Right now I have a high C and i could definitely get it up to a B. every other class i have an A.

I recently received a Spring Grades Request for my USC application. Will my drop in Calc 2 decrease my chances that much?? i've heard mixed responses- some individuals have gotten 4.0 and still rejected, others had multiple C/B grades and then accepted. Is it just completely random? Any insight would help!

Has anyone been rejected after USC sgr?

since i'll be waiting a while until i get my decision, i've obviously been panicking every 5 minutes about usc instead of staying calm.

i've been seeing so many people in past years talk about getting accepted after sgr, but only like one person say they got rejected (n it was from like 4 years ago). That being said, can anyone who's been rejected after SGR share their experience and what they think made them get rejected? Thanks!

USC sgr help

Help!!! i got a SGR from usc (i'm a freshman at smc rn) and i had a 4.0 last semester but calc 2 shane smith is something different!!!!

i did so well in his calc 1 class but right now i have a high C in calc 2, i think i can get a B hopefully

USC marshall calc 1 prereq has to be covered by calc 1 and 2 at SMC unfortunately, so HOW BAD would it be if i got a B/C in this class im so nervous

i had some personal stuff happen this semester that impacted my academics too but basically i'd have all As and oneB/C (probably 3.8 across all semesters)

am i cooked for USC?? please if anyone has any experience lmk😭

USC SGR Marshall

Hey! Just got a SGR for my USC transfer app for Marshall Biz Admin after 1 year CC. Unfortunately I have to do Calc 2 spring semester due to the math pre-req not being satisfied by just Calc 1 at SMC. I got an A in Calc 1 fall semester and was like top 2 in my class, but I'm really struggling with Calc 2 this semester with a high C (hopefully B soon). This is my first ever class that I'm not sure I'll get an A in, every other class I've taken/currently taking I will get an A. Is there still a chance for me to get in once I submit my grades? I have pretty good ECs and essays as well as a family/personal circumstance that affected my academic focus my spring semester. LMK please!!
