The Activity tab in the Tractive app caught what I'd have ignored

So I'm dogsitting my sister's Aussie, Stevie, this summer (lucky me, she's the best) and I noticed she's been slowing down a lot in this heat. Thought I was imagining it until I checked Tractive's Activity tab and yeah, it's real. Her usual mid-day spikes basically flatlined during this week's heatwave.

Kind of made me realize the Activity tab isn't just for fitness goals. It's actually a pretty solid way to catch when the heat is getting to them. So if you see sudden drops in activity, more panting, or slower recovery, that's your sign to cut walks short, move them to cooler hours, or just stay inside.

Anyone else notice this kind of drop with their dog in summer? And any tips for keeping dogs safe in the heat?

Imho, these are the most helpful posts to read. Feel free to add your own story in the comments or create a post I can then link to! 🐱 🐶
