Has anybody else been having this issue where the latch keeps sliding down from the Large cat setting down to Small? Basically a gentle breeze will take the collar off at that point.
I’m honestly baffled by how bad the design choice is on this
She's in the house with me, yet I'm being told she's outside the safe zone (which includes our house and the 3 houses either side)?
I also had the tracker telling me she was just outside the house yesterday, it was on live tracker mode and moving around as if she were moving but there was no sign of her. Are they typically this inaccurate?
I just posted about this and I mentioned Tractive support so it was removed by the mod.
Here's just a question, not asking for support.
Are these trackers normally reliable, I've got 20 months left on my prepaid subscription and not looking forward to those 20 months if I need to buy a new one every four months!

hi, im a first time tractive user and i just wanted to ask if the gps tracking is always this... slightly inaccurate. me and my mum decided to check how the tracker works so i went out with my cat to the far back of our garden (where the red line is) however on the app it showed that he was several metres away deep in our neighbourhood park just outside of the fence. is this inaccuracy normal? or is this one of the several gps tracking problems which i have seen all over reddit?
Is there a special trick to it? The screen just stays stuck spinning. Help!
When on a walk, the Tractive app notified me when one off my trackers returned the error " warning tracker overheated, tracker is being switched off"
Now the tracker seems to have broken down, it doesn't charge anymore and can't be switched on either.
I've reached out to Tractive's support: they have replied once with an automatically generated reply (how to set the tracker to power saving mode...) but that reply was not related to my question at all.
Now support doesn't reply to my emails anymore.
Any suggestions what to do next? Thanks!
This is a garbage product. I’ve bought two now that don’t work. There’s no phone number for customer service, no way to talk to anyone. Save your money!
We've used the previous version for a while without too many issues other than dodgy battery. This new XL has suddenly gone dark. Hard resets done and no GPS and no network connection. The real stress is because we've just started a long trip in unfamiliar territory and now this thing has failed. Anything else I can do to still try and recover it? I've reached out for support but don't want to lose time if I can avoid it. Thanks!
I just got it today and I try it out and I like it so far. But I’ve seen so many bad reviews on here compare to their website that I’m starting to regret buying it all together. Can you guys tell me what your experience it cause I wanna know if I should return or not.
Also why don’t the battery last! It says 5 days yet my car has been wearing it for about 3-4 hours outside and it’s already down to 65%.
anyone here pre ordered the 6 mini in the uk/europe? i received an email saying the estimated shipping time will be 15th july however i received no updates, no tracking number. when i go on the website its still marked as order received and it havent even been shipped. anyone else here having similar issues?

So here’s a fun new twist:
My new collar arrived today. (I preordered on April 8th.) I tried to activate it through the app, but the screen just hangs on a spinning circle.
I tried to activate it through the website. Despite purchasing (and being charged for) a subscription in April, I’m only offered the option to transfer my current account to the new collar. I have no idea how to access the newer subscription, if it even exists at all.
Realizing I purchased the new collar through Apple Pay, I tried using that information through the Tractive website. Prompted to confirm my email address, I received an “unable to update email” error from which I cannot escape. Can’t sign out, can’t sign in, can’t even back out of the prompt. I’ll have to smash my cache and try again later.
So now I have a useless piece of $83.94 junk and a $216.75 subscription that I have no way to access or unsubscribe from.
Maybe someone from customer support will get back to me eventually, but considering how well they handled recent events I’m not going to hold my breath.

I am looking for some advice regarding a recent order I placed with the pet GPS company "Tractive"
I placed my order back in June. Shortly after, I received an automated email informing me that my shipment was delayed and that it would be sent out by July 1st. It is now July 13th, and I haven't received any shipping updates, tracking numbers, or further communication.
The biggest issue is that I cannot find a valid phone number or a working support email to contact them. It feels like they have completely gone dark.
Has anyone else had this experience with them? If so, did you eventually receive your product, or did you have to file a chargeback? I am currently trying to figure out if this is just a severe logistics failure or if I should assume the money is lost and contact my bank immediately.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, I'm layering onto the threads that point out Tractive's terrible post-sales support. I have two Tractives, one that works great and the other that does not work - at all. This should be great for support since I can demonstrate a base case against an anomalous one, right? I have contacted Tractive at least 4 times in the last half year asking for help in replacing the battery or the tracker (it is still under warranty). I've even offered to pay! I get consistently referred back to their "helpful" set of FAQ's.
It is disappointing because the product is important for us pet owners, and when it works it is actually a real piece of mind. Somehow along the way though they've decided helping their customers is too much trouble. Think carefully before you buy.
I have seen a few of you asking how to change the Rogz safety collar on the new Tractive CAT 6 Mini tracker model. Tbh, it can look a bit tricky the first time you try it, but I hope the video helps.
And while we’re on the topic, I wanted to quickly remind you how the Rogz safety release collar actually works.
It’s a breakaway collar, which means it’s designed to pop open if your cat gets caught on something like a branch or fence, so they don’t choke or panic.
Inside the buckle there are 3 release strength settings (look for the dots):
Why this matters: if the setting is too light, the collar will pop off during normal activity and you’ll lose the tracker. If it’s too strong, it may not release when your cat gets snagged, which defeats the safety feature. You’re aiming for a setting that stays on during normal activity but still releases when it actually needs to.

We’ve had a Mini for over a year, and decided to upgrade to the 6 mini, which we received today.
The Tracker app on my iPhone found the new Tracker, but it just spins after selecting “Activate”. I’ve let it spin for 15 minutes, and still no activation.
I’ve turned the tracker on and off several times, started from the beginning multiple times, and each time it just spins.
Anyone experience this, and hopefully found a solution?
