Precool your Hydrogen!
Subtle tip, precool your hydrogen gas in the liquid oxygen tank before dumping it in the hydrogen tank for better efficiency :)

2nd time achieving LH and LOX 😄 yay. Filled em up to the brim this time around 😋
Rocketry expanded mod is a must have for spaced out. It is just so so good.
After hours and hours of playing terra asteroid at lowest difficulty, i finally got confident enough to venture other asteroids. This is my first non terra asteroid played at max difficulty, the only hard part was the early game id say. Playing on easy mode and learning as much as u can really does pay off eventually. So if youre a beginner trying to reach past cycle 100, hope this inspires u as ive been theere too just months ago. You will get better!
Is it worth it to ranch 20 cuddle pips instead of 8 normal pips?
20 cuddle pips produce 250kg of dirt while normal pips only 160kg.
But the lag... haha. What do u guys think? Which one would you build and why?
In this new colony ive decided to take things slowly, enjoy decorating and not rushing rocketry. So far im quite happy and not burnt out like i normally do past cycle 200.
Spent 3 hours on this new living quarters, id say its
worth it! Let me know how i can improve it :))
Sharing with everyone my current industrial brick. Roast it or give some suggestions on how i can further improve some aspects of it😅
I love door pumps! They make geyser taming and storage a walk in the park. Energy efficient too!
These are some things i wish i knew sooner as a beginner to survive the early game, and have a smooth sailing transition to early mid game.
Polluted water/slime is a superb source of free oxygen! Dont get too concerned with slime lungs, just put some deodorizer and you will be fine!
Mealwood wouldnt be enough early game so dont be scared to make mushbars
Ranch as early as possible! Ranching is the gateway to sustainability in terms of food. Setting up an early ranch will make ur life so easy!
Dont rush coal generators, u wont need it early! Manual generators and a large battery is enough to handle early game power needs.
Research should be almost at 100% up time. Research everything!
Strip mine! You will need resources and it will train ur dupes to dig faster.
Explore and open up the map! Aside from oil biome, almost all biomes are completely safe for ur dupes so dont forget to explore and reveal the geysers and volcano locations!
When ur sustainable with food and running a few coal generator, its time now to handle oxygen production, build a spom or a hydra! You will need atleast gold amalgam for this.
Dont be shy to pause the game and layout builds and designate task.
Lastly, i suggest have a separate sandbox world for testing. If youre a beginner, experience is the best teacher so experimentation in a sandbox world is ur playground.
Enjoy!
Sharing my new rocket interior, managed to squeeze in a washroom, luxury barracks, banquet hall and an Atmo suit station XD .
Can have two versions, databank orbital station or a telescope for exploration :D
Sharing my current spaceport progress :). Lowkey proud of the design
First time radbolt rocket! (I usually just skip right away to petro rockets in classic sized maps but this time im kinda forced to utilize radbolts since my oil planetoid is far away 😂)
I tried collecting the nuclear waste liquid with the intention of using it to produce faster radbolts but apparently the rad it produces decays??, any suggestion how can i utilize this? Thanks!
Utilizing the metal refinery to refuel the steam rocket. Its a double win, i get to get steel, and refuel the rocket :>. Suggestions for improvements are welcome :))
Finally got the confidence to do a spaced out map size run after my first succesful classic map size (temporal tear and cycle 1500) and im very happy so far with the progress andd the resource ans logistics management. So faaar im cycle 280 and im loving how the resources are distributed across asteroids (e.g i dont have oil and metal volcanos in this asteroid) hence im forced to really do space early and utilize the early engines, and do multiple space ports since i gotta deliver goods. I gotta be compact with my builds too since the map is small but this is so challenginf and awesome in a good way!
P.s carbon dioxide engines are so goated, theyre so fast, easy refuel and can hop and refuel (can bring ur own fuel) on nearby planetoids!
Its crazy how one can theoretically make liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen with this "feature/exploit" 😵💫
Sharing here my favorite Hydra/SPOM :)
Input water: cool slush polluted water for cooling the oxygen
Got bored, so i decided to revisit some uni stuff and implement it in oni 😁. Its kinda useless but hey atleast i can add/subtract ingame 😂
Almost done with my new space port, blast shots, plantery launcher and probably a nuclear reactor left to build. Also im so happy since this is my first time achieving liquid hydrogen and oxygen. I finally dont feel like a noob to the game anymore :> only took 600+ ingame hours 😆
I rebuilt my space miner refuelling station to be cleaner and to minimize down time as much as possible(databank and oxylite delivery cannot be automated unfortunately). So far the steam generator has a really good up time, kinda tempted to add another one for more power harvesting in exchange for lower up time.
Also need opinion for diamond press rad source, should i go for wheezeworts or shine bugs? Whats more efficient? Diamond reserves currently very low cuz of the diamond tiles in this build 🥹
Cycle 1.1k and got nothing to do much so i guess ill try making everything pretty and automated. Heres my new drecko ranch :>. Feel free to ask any questions but please be kind 🥹
P.s Getting the gas levels ratio for maximum scale growth was such a pain to get correctly 😭
