I hear that their suitability is very strict on mental health. Can people with mental health diagnosises and hospitalizations still pass suitability and work in the IC?
Would this be a lifelong ban for the job? It was for suicidal ideation. I have a track record of anxiety and depression, which I keep well managed with medication.

When I was 19 I was being bullied chronically, took it poorly and experienced suicidal ideation. I was hospitalized on a 5150. 10 years later I am doing much better.
Will this prevent me from being a cop for life? I’d prefer to work at a large police department but any would do. Thank you.
