Managed to sight the Mega Barrett and tighten up the groupings with half megas 🤘🏼

After tuning I highly appreciate the quick spring swaps Gavin engineered into this. Just two take down pins and that’s it. I’ve put a few hundred darts through and the metal internals show no sign of use.

I agree the full mega mag looks better but when compared to half mega the groupings are wider with full.

First impression when hardware arrived was that there was a lot of metal 🤘🏼 including aluminum plunger tube, rod, sear and bearing assisted prime. The details in the aesthetics are excellent. Like other Gavin builds the instructions are clear and the build process is straightforward. Included springs for varying fps ~140-200.

I used the Worker bamboo metal mold to shape the Sabre T Darts (1.3) and I have been able to repeatedly hit 2” targets at 70 feet.

The process I used for making the darts is to push Sabre dart into mold, put in oven at 170F for 6 min, cool for 2 min and push out with a blunt rod.

Blaster is the CNC Kunlun with 50cm Kury barrel, Rwxfire Sabre Akasha BCAR, Arken EP-5 5-25x scope, cut down 1.6 spring for ~300fps.

Distance is 70 feet as measured in video with 20’ spacing between cones. The rival targets were excellent for indicating wind!

I was encouraged to share some tuning process, skip ahead for results 🤘🏼 The blaster is the Kunlun with 50cm kury barrel and cut 1.6 spring. It is hitting around 300fps. I am shooting from a sitting posted position ~40’ away. Only brand new darts used.

BCARs used: GFZ, Sabre-rexfire akasha and Moose/chance printed 20deg bcar

Darts used: DZ bamboo (lightweight), DZ Nitro, Sabre heavy

Limitations in study: so many. Mainly the blaster isn’t fixed in position so shooter error is possible. Also even with new darts it’s possible some get compressed and deformed in the box. So take results as unverified but interesting.

I got this to build as an accurate “bench” blaster, and for plinking it’s exquisite. Parts are precise and unbreakable, prime is smooth and quiet.

Early testing with the Rexfire Akasha super bcar is excellent with nitro darts and I’ll post video of further distance testing soon. Check out Bradley Phillips video if you haven’t seen it.

The stock springs were 350fps vs 250fps but I cut down (what I think was) a harrier spring and I’m happy with a 300fps sweet spot.

I understand this blaster isn’t for everyone, I wouldn’t play with it myself, it’s heavy and impractical. OOD stated they believe only a few dozen have been made. It’s nice for my wall and plinking 🤘🏼

Finally got around to the 3S mod with new switches for the Perses and it was well worth it.

Tried to set up an environment that would capture the chaos of 300 rival balls at 12balls/second, enjoy!
