A4A Vampires, chronic pain, and neckbites, oh my! [Protective] [Chronic pain/illness listener] [Possessive] [Light teasing]

Hi everyone! I made a spooky script in time for October.

This one is rather different since I've put in a lot of formatting. And to help navigate this I will put in some key things to look for when reading or performing it down below.

However, I will of course do the usual first. You may: upload videos using this script, monetize the videos for it, contact me if there is something specific you'd like changed for a script read for your channel or Patreon.

You may NOT use AI in the videos for this script, be that in the thumbnail, description, or anything else. I know YouTube has been pushing people to use AI so I won't begrudge you if for some reason you couldn't avoid it.

Now for the script keys:

The [ ] indicator represents an action or otherwise scene change with appropriate SFX. The SFX are not a hard requirement, and I want this to be as open as possible to people who don't use them very much or at all.

The \ and italics combined are the listener's responses to the speaker. Obviously you don't need to worry about voicing these but they may help get the feel of the scene.

The (Tone) included in some parts of the script are meant as a guide to how certain lines are how I imagined them. You do not need to follow them 100% if there is a lull in the tones shown below. For example: if the script calls for a certain tone at minute 4 and doesn't for another 2 minutes then those 2 minutes are yours to do with as you please for the tone. And of course you can ignore the tone entirely, it's up to you. They are just there to help guide if you want it.

I believe that is all of them, I will edit this as needed to fix whatever I've missed. And now into the synopsis and the script proper.

Synopsis: You should not have been out this late. You knew this but your errands ran over on time and traffic was especially brutal. Bad luck after bad luck. And now there is something watching you in the dark with those red eyes that say "you are in danger."

Final word count: 1758

SCRIPT:

[Fade in to SFX of night noises and walking with a limp or otherwise difficult movement]

(Tone: smug/confident) Oh my, what do we have here?

\What? Who's there?\

Oh sweetheart. You cannot see so well in the dark, can you?

[Sfx of shoes clacking as the vampire enters the listener’s view]

Is this better?

\Shit!\

[The listener tries to shift and move quickly but stumbles and falls. They cannot get up.]

(Tone: genuine surprise) Oh, well that was quick.

Normally my prey doesn't just fail so dramatically to escape.

[Sfx of shoes clacking momentarily as they speak the next line.]

But if it makes you feel any better…

[The speaker whispers into the listener’s ear]

I would've caught you all the same.

[The listener attempts to squirm and back away, unable to get back up and run. They are stopped quickly.]

(Tone: faking hurt feelings) Now that hurts. Here I am, making sure you are alright and you want to run away from me.

That just won't do.

[The speaker grabs the listener.]

(Tone: slight irritation) Oh calm down. I’m not grabbing your neck that hard.

Your coughing isn't going to convince…

(Tone: realization dawning) Wait.

You're sick. Or perhaps, you are more frail than most humans.

And considering how you fell earlier, I'm willing to bet your legs don't always do what you want them to.

How am I so far?

…

Oh. Right. You can't talk, can you?

Here.

[Shuffling of cloth as the speaker lets go of the listener.]

That's right, just breathe.

Huh, yeah you were definitely not faking it.

…

\Correct… on all acc- accounts.\

That's what I thought.

…

Hmmm.

Well, I mean I could still feed on you.

(Tone: unable to decide/hemming and hawing) But I mean…

[Speaker sighs]

Look, I'm an undead. A vampire.

You do know that, right?

Thank you for nodding, certainly try to save your breath.

However, I'm not going to drink from you. At least not yet.

\What?!\

(Tone: slight irritation) For Hell’s sake, try to limit your voice.

The more you speak the worse it will get.

As I was saying…

I will not feed from you yet. But I can't just leave you out here.

Other vampires out on the prowl could just as easily take what they want, and leave you with nothing.

Just because I am not willing to do that, doesn't mean that the others won't.

\There are others?\

(Tone: amusement) Of course there are others.

And I don't want them getting a hold of you.

You’d be dried up and left for the other humans to find. And then they'd have to get rid of your body.

Oh don’t give me that look.

I will not drain you when I do bite.

\And what makes you so different?\

There are many nuances of vampiric society. Including the different types of vampires. Their personalities and… methods are just as different.

And a weak or frail human, even more than the typical sort, is almost certain to be killed by them.

[The listener attempts to get up and get away, albeit slowly. Cloth movement sfx if one so wishes.]

(Tone: cold) By all means, try to run.

But no matter how far you manage to go, they will catch you.

Surely you’ve felt the eyes on us.

Those blinking red dots from the dark shadows, several pairs at least.

They are hungry.

(Tone: the cat that caught the canary) And with your… limitation lets call it, there is not much you can do to stop them.

Not to mention…

We can’t have you blabbing about all of this.

So you don’t have much of a choice really.

\...What do you want with me?\

Now that is an interesting question.

What I want from you is a few things.

Trust, loyalty, care, and of course, blood.

And with time I feel you could fulfill all of those requirements quite nicely.

Do not look so frightened, my dear.

I am offering you a way to survive.

\What if I say no?\

Then we part ways and we never see each other again.

If you survive tonight that is.

I am not a cruel vampire, you won’t be dressed up and made to do things against your will.

Unless that’s something you’d like…

[The Speaker laughs at the listener looking confused and/or flustered.]

Oh I’m so sorry, dear.

Your reaction was wonderful. Simply splendid.

My teasing was meant in good nature.

I swear on my un-beating heart that you will not be compelled, forced to, or otherwise coerced into doing anything you do not wish to do.

Now…

Would you like to come with me?

\I don’t have much of a choice…\

Smart answer.

I’m going to like having such… lively company around the house.

(Tone: Possessive with a hint of protectiveness) And to all of you, waiting in the darkness…

Before your jealousy gets the better of you, consider this your only warning.

This one is mine.

If you want to see your next dusk, find your own meal.

[SFX of figures scurrying away in the darkness, the other vampires have fled. Most being smart enough to listen.]

Now then my dear.

Come with me, and do stay close.

Not all of them fled. And I’d rather not dangle you in front of them.

[SFX of the listener getting closer suddenly, dealer’s choice of how that sounds for you.]

I do believe I've made the right choice with you.

Now, onward to home.

[Fade out night noises if any were used, fade in to a door opening noise.]

—-

[Fade in to a door opening and a small amount of footsteps as both speaker and listener walk inside.]

And here we are.

Home sweet home.

\You live here?\

Yes and it is quite lovely, isn't it?

I know that face.

The vampire that lives in a small home instead of a castle. A strange sight though more common than one may think.

\It’s just… the way you talk, you seem like the sort to *have* a castle.\

Well I won't deny that. I do enjoy putting on the voice for it.

A castle this is not but that doesn't mean I can't use a typical castle vampire voice.

Besides, it's good practice for when I do get one.

I've been thinking of this one place in Scotland, owned by a horrible woman.

No one likes her but she is rather well-known.

I-

…

You are looking at me strangely.

\Where do I go exactly?\

Ah yes, of course. Forgive me, I got a touch too lost in my head.

This way please, my dear guest.

[Resume walking SFX for however long you wish.]

Ah, here we are. The guest room.

Please, have a seat.

[SFX of the listener sitting down on something comfortable. Can be cloth or leather.]

I have not needed to use it for some time.

\You mentioned before that you don’t get many living people living around you.\

Yes, that's right.

I do not get many guests, especially among the living. Though I do think I could get used to it.

Who knows? Perhaps this will be the start of a tradition.

[SFX of the speaker sniffing the air a bit and sighing in relief/happiness at the smell.]

And with your blood, well…

Let’s just say I have quite the interest in keeping you close by.

My, my…

Is that a blush I see?

\No! I- It’s not- Ngh.\

(Tone: laughter or deep amusement) Oh don’t worry dear, I won’t tell anyone.

What you dream of is none of my business.

But I do wish to spend more time around you.

Tell me, how is your pain now?

\Fading and not as bad as before.\

That is good, I do not wish for my food to be hurting.

Oh that face you made.

You don’t like being called food?

It is what you are to me, and to the others.

\That doesn’t mean I have to be called that…\

(Tone: genuine consideration) Hmmm, you do have a point.

How about Guest?

It is what you are. But a guest implies that it won't be forever.

And seeing as I cannot exactly let you go, well let's see…

Hmmm.

Everguest.

How does that sound to you?

\I mean it's definitely better than food or meal. Plus it reminds me of my one of my favorite games.\

Very good.

(Tone: desire mixed with some danger and darkness) Now my everguest, I must have a taste.

You cannot expect me to go hungry after all.

\Uhm. Alright, just how painful will it be?\

It is painful at first, two fangs are going to bite into your flesh.

But it doesn't stay that way for long.

I don't care to get into the specifics right this moment but rest assured that it won't be as bad as you might think.

\Okay. Uhm here goes nothing?\

[SFX of the listener shifting slightly on the thing they sat on earlier, presenting their neck for the speaker.]

My, so generous.

Tilting your head so cautiously and yet so openly as well.

[The speaker moves closer and their voice is practically up against the listener's ears.]

It will be alright.

I'm going to bite on three.

One…

Two…

Three.

[SFX of biting and blood drinking. Length of it is up to you. After a bit of drinking, perhaps halfway through it, the speaker will move their hands to cradle the listener in their arms. Add appropriate SFX for that as well if you do wish.]

Hmmm.

Oh I definitely needed that.

And I did not take too much did I?

…

Human?

(Tone: gentle) Up here darling.

There we go.

Can you talk?

That's alright. Sometimes this happens, a human's body doesn't know how to react and things ‘lock up’ for lack of a better term.

But did I take too much? Are you alright?

[The listener shakes their head to indicate a no.]

Splendid. I'd be quite upset if you were in more pain.

Why don't you lie back? I will go cook something for you.

Don't give me that look.

I know how to cook. And despite not having any living beings here I do keep fresh ingredients.

They are kept fresh or frozen as needed, so do not concern yourself about any food borne illnesses.

Go ahead and rest.

(Tone: small bits of teasing but still grateful) Oh and thank you for the meal.

[Fade out of the speaker walking away.]

A4TF A Caring Bounty Hunter and her Quarry [part 4 of 13] [lore dump] [friends to more] [protective speaker] [tension] [threatened violence] [not to the listener, don't worry]

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Hi there folks! I'm not dead! Just very distracted by everything. Hopefully I can write more quickly soon, and things will be changing for the better soon enough anyway. I will be busy eventually enough but I'm also going to try and devote more time to this to get it done. That way I can actually finish this story and write other things my hyperfixations refuse to let go.

As usual please do not change the pronouns of the listener in this script. This story is being written for trans fem people specifically. If you wish to change some other parts of the script then you can contact me and we can sort that out.

Please do post any videos made using this script in the comments. I very much would like to be credited. You may monetize the video but I would rather there be no paywall.

And please do not use any generative AI for the videos being used for it.

Brief synopsis: The listener and speaker are making a supply run for their home in the bunker. The listener learns much about certain groups, as well as their protector though not all about them. And during this time they run into trouble from a group that the speaker is all too familiar with.

Word count: 1579

Script:

[sfx fade in as the listener is reading a book in the ship as it flies through space]

Hey there Vi.

Getting some reading in?

If you like to read then that’s what you should do.

I wanted to thank you again for coming along on the supply run. It’s really sweet of you to help out.

And our previous plan of you staying on the ship to help me off-load is still good.

But…

Well I found something of mine that’ll help you out.

Ta-da!

Okay yes, it is a cloak.

But it’s not just any cloak.

Put it on and look in the mirror.

[sfx of handing of cloth over and then the listener putting it on]

See?

It hides your face in complete darkness. Like a void is where the face should be.

It’s old technology but it’s been used for a while and no one has been able to break through these things.

The best part is no one will even bat an eye at you wearing it.

Most folks who wear these things are well-respected.

Where did I get it?

Well hmm…

[the speaker is clearly thinking about revealing this information]

Alright, considering how long you’ve been around me I figure it might be time to talk about some of my past.

Most folks don’t tend to stick around. You being the exception of course.

[sfx of the speaker sitting down]

I grew up in this group. Most folks call them a “holy order” which is accurate to a degree. Their group is usually full of zealots.

They call themselves the Angels of Purgatory.

I know, it’s a weird name for sure.

Whoever named the group was either ridiculously overconfident, or they have some very strange ideas on how they saw themselves.

Probably both actually…

Anyway they “recruited” and trained kids to fight and kill in the most efficient way possible.

Okay, the reason why folks respect them and they call themselves a holy order is because a few of them may have stopped a few of the galactic plagues.

I say may have because we just don’t know but it’s commonly accepted that they did. Some people even think they’ve stopped them all, as if they were always around as some sort of benevolent guardian group or something.

Historical records around that time got lost sometime between the 7th and 8th plagues. And those were highly destructive.

[sfx of the listener sitting down near the speaker, a moment passes as they try to figure it out]

Yeah I get that confusion.

The diseases ravaged countless worlds because they could attach themselves to inorganic material like ships, armor, and even general spacesuits.

They couldn’t reach the person inside but they couldn’t be easily removed with the technology of the time. Or even be detected when it first started.

Decontamination procedures existed back then but it wasn’t anything close to good enough for what they were facing.

Not to mention with these things being made in labs, like the one down those stairs. To say I feel uneasy around those places is an understatement.

The way most folks tell it, the… *sighs* “Angels” [the speaker really hates calling them Angels] are what’s keeping our whole species alive. Trust me, no one will bug you if you wear it.

….

Oh we’ll be okay. I have my worries about the lab we found but I also scanned it thoroughly for any signs of disease or plague and it all came back clean.

I know where to look, they won’t get the drop on us.

It’ll be okay, I promise I’ll keep you safe.

[A small moment of silence as the listener and speaker feel a little closer. Then sfx of the ship computer plays, beeping and booping here and there.]

Ah I think we’re coming up on our supply port.

Just keep that hood on and you’ll be alright.

In theory no one should pull the hood back. Unless they hate them which is gonna be rare I think.

If anyone asks, we're just two friends hanging out together.

(a quiet sigh and whispers): I wish it was more than that…

Uh! You heard nothing.

Okay gotta go nice chatting see ya bye!

[The speaker gets up and footsteps follow as they make a quick exit and leaves the listener somewhat confused and perhaps flustered :3]

[The ship sounds fade out, marketplace and various people sounds of all sorts fade in. Can be alien and human or just human, dealer’s choice.]

Alright we just have a few more items on the list.

Yeah, just those last ones. They might not be available but it’s not a big deal.

Really it’s more of a nice thing to get.

The galaxy may be rough and horrible sometimes but that doesn’t mean we can’t treat ourselves.

Ah, yeah I was wondering when that would come up.

No no, I'm not mad.

You’re curious about the cloak and how I got it.

Well…

It was mine.

Yeah I was one of em but I didn’t like it.

The training was brutal. On top of everything used to make us into the perfect killing machines.

Yeah, sorry. Not a great topic.

It’s not your fault at all, Vi.

I can probably talk more, just not here.

Once we get back home I think.

[A small pause as the speaker is caught off guard by something.]

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

It’s Alex, I think they’re following us.

Just ignore them and keep your cloak up.

Trust me they aren’t stupid enough to do anything out here, especially with me right here.

Even then they don’t suspect a thing, trust me.

Come on we can-

[sfx of fabric rustling as two people grab the listener roughly. Hushed whispers can be hard as several people watch what is going on.].

[The speaker unsheathes their sword and levies it against their neck, appropriate sfx of a sword being used.]

You really should rethink that.

I’m only going to say it once. Let her go.

Hey! Focus on me, you don’t get to talk to her. Let alone whisper something into her ear.

My blade can cut through armor and you think your exposed throat can survive it?

[The listener is released and rushes back to the speaker.]

Good, now back away nice and slow.

Oh of course, you’re one of those death cult fanatics.

Cleanse the galaxy to make way for unfiltered life. Disease begets disease, and so on.

Got it in one didn’t I?

Whatever, I don’t care. Now leave us alone.

You guys are pathetic.

Yes, I do know that.

Because none of you have tried to take me on when I was trained to kill people like you. Even when I’m outnumbered like this.

Yeah, I did notice your friends.

Hard not to notice the hopeful glances mixed with malice.

Your sick and twisted plagues all failed and you have nothing left.

Now piss off. Go wallow in some ditch for all I care.

[speaker and listener watch as the group wander off with both of them glancing back at the listener]

Hey, you alright?

I’m so sorry those jerks got close to you, let alone actually grabbing you like that.

If I hadn’t been so afraid they might do something to you I’d have killed them right then and there.

Oh umm…

I didn’t kill them because I don’t want the attention.

Right, my old group would hear about it and probably come knocking.

We didn’t part on friendly terms, not in the slightest.

At best, I’d slam a door in their face.

At worst…

Hey there’s no worries.

They aren’t the guild and if they do find out about you they won’t care.

Hey, are you feeling alright?

You look kinda pale.

A headache? And feeling dizzy.

Hmmm alright we can cut this trip short. We have everything we need anyway.

No, it's alright. I’d rather make sure you didn’t catch anything, running a full scan and so on.

Let’s head home.

[cut to their home in the bunker]

Alright that’s everything put away.

Yes I did put it all away without you.

I was not about to let you do anything physical considering how you’re feeling.

Yeah well, you’re gonna have to deal with it.

A headache on its own wouldn’t get me concerned but the dizziness? That one-hundred percent does.

You can write me a strongly worded letter when you feel better then.

Wait, what?

…

Nothing is wrong, I just…

I didn’t think you’d want me to contact my old group just because I saw those jerks at the market.

They aren’t really worth alerting them over. Their danger has long since passed.

And we don’t need that group coming here with the wrong ideas about people.

I mean, the wrong ideas about how to handle those guys.

Sorry, yeah. I’m just a little off-balance after that little encounter.

Hah. Sure, I’ll find some time to rest myself.

What is this? You’re the one feeling unwell and now you’re trying to make sure I’m okay.

I…

It’ll be okay. You will be okay. And I will be okay.

We both need rest, so go ahead and sleep.

You know where the blankets are if you need one.

Alright, I promise to sleep as well.

Rest up well.

[audio from bunker fades out as the conversation ends and the listener tries to get some sleep]
