New/casual PoE2 player looking to build a small adult community to play together
Hey everyone,
My name’ is V, I’m 32, live in the UK and I’m relatively new to Path of Exile.
I’m definitely what you’d call a casual player. I run my own business, have a wife, two dogs and all the other irritating responsibilities that get in the way of playing any game.
I usually manage a couple of hours in the evenings when I can, sometimes more at weekends, but it varies massively depending on work and life, and whether my wife wants me to watch the new season of love is blind.
I’ve mostly been playing solo so far and thought it would be much more fun to find a group of people in a similar situation.
Not looking for anything sweaty or overly organised. Just a good group of adults who enjoy PoE and want people to play and chat with when they’re online.
New players are absolutely welcome. I’m one myself. Experienced players are equally welcome, especially if you don’t mind answering the occasional stupid question.
I’m currently playing Runes of Aldur, softcore trade on PS5 Pro.
I’m thinking of creating a small Discord community called:
Exiles With Responsibilities
Jobs. Partners. Pets/Kids/Both. Wraeclast when we can.
The idea would be somewhere we can:
- Find people for campaign, maps, trials, bosses etc.
- Ask questions and help each other with builds
- Organise spontaneous or planned sessions
- Trade and help each other out
- Use voice chat when we feel like it (personally I would like to chat and play)
- Chat about PoE and generally talk shit
- Actually get to know the people we’re playing with rather than joining random parties every time
- and just play and find some loot
PC and Xbox players are welcome too since PoE2 supports cross-play.
I’m UK based, so UK/European evenings will probably make up the initial core, but people from anywhere are welcome. Having different time zones might actually be useful because hopefully there’ll eventually be somebody around most of the time.
There’s no expectation that anyone plays every day or all day either. That’s sort of the entire point.
I’m actually away on for work for the next couple of weeks, so consider this an interest check rather than an immediate Discord invite.
I’ll keep an eye on the post while I’m away and, assuming there’s some interest, I’ll put the Discord together properly towards the end of the next two weeks and send the joining details to everyone who wants in.
We can mess around in the current league for now, play together when we can and figure things out as we go.
Then, when the next fresh PoE2 league/event comes around, it could be really fun for a bunch of us to start fresh together.

I’m thinking strictly 18+ for the Discord, mainly because I’d like it to be an adult social gaming group rather than something I have to heavily moderate.
If you’ve been playing solo and thinking it’d be nice to actually have some regular people to jump on with, that’s basically who I’m looking for.
Let’s see if there’s enough of us.

Full disclaimer: I am absolutely not a PoE expert. Quite the opposite, I’m a complete noob. I am, however, pretty good at organising things and running a tidy ship, so hopefully I can at least make the community work properly.
