Printing lines not connecting

These two pictures are of one of my three recent prints they all have this issue where the layers don’t seem to be actually connected to each other at first, I figured the issue was that I was using a 1 mm nozzle and the layer height was set to 0.2 so I tried another print adjusting the layer height to the recommended 0.32 and I got the same result, from there, I decided to switch the nozzle to a 0.4 mm nozzle and use a downloaded cura settings file so it would print correctly, the print is not finished, but I’m already seeing the exact same issue where the edges are not adhering to the rest of the print, I have never had this issue before until I watched a YouTube video on adjusting cura settings and that’s when everything started messing up

Worth upgrading for nylon?

Currently i have an ender 3 v2 that ive had for a few years, its worked for the most part but definitely has its issues, the nozzle wont heat up past around 213 degrees limiting me to strictly PLA, and it consistently leaves prints very stringy on the inside, ive been wanting to start printing in nylon as its very durable and useful, is it worth upgrading my current printer or just investing in a new one, the upgrades i was thinking were all metal hot-end 30$, direct drive extruder 25$, filament dryer 50$, building an enclosure, and using a rasberry pi i have to use klipper. Around 100$ total for the upgrades
