I'm just curious about this because at my current workplace, you can reach the midpoint in about 3-4 years of experience. I'm at 5 years of experience and I'm already at 10% past the midpoint.

Though in some places I've heard the midpoint isn't reached until 10 years of experience.

Say if someone is hiring and they gave a range, is it safe to ask for the midpoint as listed for someone with 5 years of experience?

Customer here so I'm not sure if it's needed to buy a 5 quart of 0W20 just in case the shop/dealership runs out of oil.

I don't have the equipment to change my own oil but I also don't know if shops would be willing to use my own oil.

Just curious about this. I go to the dealership or an independent shop to have my oil changed about twice a year. So if they don't have oil in a few months, then I'd be cooked.

Would it be a good idea to buy a 5 quart to keep it at home just in case?
