PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION

So I see a lot of convincing arguments for both sides and I want to know where the community mostly stands on whether The Prototype is a hero or a villain. I see him as a villain, but others don’t. I’d like to know why.

He moves with such elegance and grace and the way he moves his neck is so creepy

These are photos from Chapter 5 on console, the graphics are gorgeous. Anyway.. before you go mentioning “But, the bloated puzzles!-“ Chapter 3 has way more bloated and dragged out puzzles than Chapter 5, I feel like a lot of people don’t mention that. I don’t think it’s fair for people to complain about 5’s puzzles and not mention 3’s. I will say that I do enjoy the hands in Chapter 3 more than the ones in Chapter 5, but other than that, Chapter 5 is better and more smooth as a game overall.

I think it’s the best the game has ever looked.

So I see quite a few people still state that The Prototype is weaker than an Injured Kissy Missy for being caught off guard and hurt by her, but that’s simply not the case, I’d like to put these rumors to rest by explaining WHY The Prototype retreated. Kissy Missy didn’t break a gas canister by the way, The Prototype only has those on his waist instead of his upper torso, Kissy did pull something loose though. What happens next is why he ran away. Poppy was caught in the crossfire of their clash so neither of them wanted Poppy to be harmed, because her model changes AFTER their fight ends, so it’s probably because of the fight her hair got messed up and she lost her eye. The Prototype didn’t want to do any further damage, so he retreated. He also didn’t really suffer any major damage, it’s just a piece of him got removed. Kissy Missy also took Poppy and hid behind one of the columns if you go out of bounds, so The Prototype put up a fight despite being caught off guard by Kissy Missy.

In my opinion, I think it makes his design far more terrifying and impactful. It’s basically a child turning himself into a biomechanical weapon of both elegance and making himself intimidating, trying to assert dominance by grafting toy parts onto himself from fallen toys. Also I feel like if he were some sort of flesh terminator skull monster, he’d be extremely out of place, which is a nitpick I have with the GoldenDiamond design. Unlike other toys, Ollie turned himself into something his mascot isn’t.

In my opinion, this makes his current design even better. A child that has become a mascot but doesn’t feel defined by it unlike the other toys, and he grotesquely modified his body and adopted a much more terrifying appearance.

People keep claiming that everyone hates Poppy Playtime now and that the game is turning to a cash grab, when there are games that are far more deserving of such an accusation. I see them also complain about the puzzles of Chapter 5 but I have to remind them that the ones in Chapter 3 are worse, so Poppy’s puzzles aren’t getting worse, they’re the same they have been for a while. All of them CAN be frustrating though. I’m also sick of people complaining that there will be a Chapter 6 and that Mob is dragging the franchise, when they never confirmed that Chapter 5 was the last one, even discussing future projects to viewers several times. Constructive criticism is fair, but these videos just seem to nitpick about every little thing they despise about the chapter (especially the first video.)

It may not be as scary as Chapter 3 visually, but it’s definitely the peak of Poppy Playtime in writing and lore and arguably gameplay.

I don’t see anyone talk about his handwriting so I wanted to bring it up because I find it cool.
