Downsizing Filigree Ring

Hi all,

Is it possible to downsize the shown Filigree ring by 1-2 sizes?
It’s .585 gold / 14k.

Thank you!

Watch Band / Bracelet Refunction

Hi all,

I’ve got this watch, brand is ZentRa. Typical 60-70s design.

I’m not very fond of the watch itself.
But the bracelet is nice!
The bracelet and watch housing is made of .585 gold (14k).

Instead of scrapping the gold, do you have any good ideas to repurpose the bracelet?
Just taking out the watch and soldering the bracelet together would be a) a little bit too small to wear most likely and b) leave a quite visible soldering joint at the top of the bracelet.

Happy to hear any ideas!
Thanks!

CCW Setup recommendation

Hello all,

I’d need your help identifying the perfect setup for my everyday carry gun.

While I enjoy and own several guns, I have never carried a concealed gun on me in my whole life. I’ve got a license, though.
I never really felt comfortable carrying a gun on me, despite having plenty of range hours in.

The criteria for a gun for me would be the following:

- Safety —> I’d like to have absolute safety to prevent accidental discharges. I don’t really feel comfortable with a striker fired gun and one in the chamber in my pants. I’m aware that this is mostly felt safety, and not real one.

- Ease of use —> In an emergency, I’d like to absolute ease of use on a gun. I know that the more you train, the better you get. However, I feel that in a real emergency just to pull a trigger is way easier than racking a slide, operating a flashlight, or anything like that.

- Comfort —> While I enjoy shooting larger handguns, I don’t really think a 1911 would be comfortable on my belt.

Are there any other criteria you’d look out for, when choosing an everyday carry gun?

On the handguns I own:

- Walther PPK/s —> great gun, shoots in .380. Has a manual safety, which fits my criteria. However, I don’t trust myself to operate the little safety lever in an emergency situation or racking the slide back. Also it’s quite heavy, despite its small size.

- Walther PDP Compact —> shoots fantastic. Very easy to use. Includes a trigger safety. It’s lightweight. However, I don’t feel comfortable carrying one in the chamber in a striker fired gun. I’ve got a flashlight attached to it, which makes a good home defense gun.

- Taurus 605 —> great revolver, like to shoot it in .38 special and not so much in .357. I feel very comfortable with it. However, it’s quite heavy and has an open trigger.

- Springfield 1911 MilSpec —> great gun in .45 caliber. Shoots amazing, good safety feature. However, in my option way too large to carry concealed.

- Walther 22lr —> quirky gun, lots of malfunctions with the wrong ammo. Also wrong caliber to carry imO.

Spontaneously, I’d feel comfortable with a S&W Model 432, 442, 632, 642 or Bodyguard 38.
I like the idea that the revolver “just works”.
Also I feel comfortable shooting revolvers. I would carry one in the chamber, but I would still need to cock the gun with the actual trigger.
I don’t know if that’s true, but it feels safer to me..

What do you think? Are those revolvers a good everyday carry choice given my criteria?
If yes, what exact revolver would you recommend and why?
And then, what kind of holster and attachments (if any) would you recommend?

Thank you!
