hi all.
So I applied for a different role, same grade, just a different department because I was informed by my manager that if I wanted progression, I'd have to leave. Honestly, I don't think they thought I would actually apply because when I told them I had the interview, they then changed their tune and said "why would I want to leave?" that the position I've applied, I'd never be able to raise a family. They're the one who told me to apply for that department in the first place. 🥴
I had the interview in May and every 4 weeks they delay the results for another 4 weeks.
I applied end of March, interviewed May and now nothing. Just a monthly email saying they're still interviewing. Results should've been released W/C 18/5/26. I still want the role as my current one has become stale but my manager is being rather salty about me looking to move on.
is it normal for a role to be this dragged out.
it's a DWP role in fraud.
from a colleague to shy to post
"my colleague and I were sitting in our break room, she's black Caribbean and I'm Asian Korean, we often take our lunches together, talk nonsense about our families and husbands. A male colleague who while, isn't a part of our team we know him from the building walks in and said "oh is this the coloured only corner". I'm appalled. My colleague said she's used to it and bowed her head, I on the other hand, am G ing livid. I've raised it to our manager and she just shrugged it off.
What do I do?
hello all, has anyone who has interviewed for the recent fraud investigator role heard back yet?
outcomes were due from Monday, and I expecting too much?
I have friends across CS, they both have the same title and do very, VERY similar jobs but under different branches of the CS. They were discussing their pay and grade and my colleague from the DWP is only an EO grade for a Fraud Investigator yet my friend that works for a different branch is a HEO. They compared their roles and responsibilities and it's the same work.
I can't get my head around it.
