I’m curious what others think about my situation.
About a month ago, I applied for a role through LinkedIn and completed the GHA, but I haven’t heard anything since.
More recently, I got a referral from a mutual friend and applied to two additional roles. A recruiter reached out, said they would forward my application to the role-specific recruiter, and mentioned that if the hiring team is interested, they’ll contact me directly. They also said that if I don’t hear back within 8 weeks, I should assume they’ve moved forward with another candidate.
I’m trying to figure out how optimistic I should be. Is the recruiter forwarding my profile a meaningful sign, or is it just a standard step in the process? Has anyone had a similar experience and eventually received an interview or offer?
