Sprig - Boreen Amble Games - Cozy 3D exploration game about discovering animals as a rabbit

Hi r/Games,

I’m Krystian Czekalski, the solo developer of Sprig, a cozy 3D exploration game about discovering real-world animals as a rabbit.

Gameplay footage/teaser:

Sprig is built around a simple loop: explore a peaceful level, observe the environment, use the right tool, discover animals, and add them to your journal. Some animals are easy to find, while others require light environmental puzzles such as repairing a bridge, finding missing pieces, unlocking a path, or stepping on slabs in the correct order.

I wanted to make a calm game without being completely aimless. There are no enemies, timers, scary music, or stressful fail states, but the game still has goals, collections, achievements, and a planned ending. The target is a short, finished experience of around 2–4 hours rather than an endless sandbox.

Current/planned features:

  • Single-player exploration
  • Individual levels
  • Real-world animal discovery
  • Magnifying glass and flashlight tools
  • Nature journal
  • Light puzzles
  • Collection achievements
  • Controller support
  • Demo planned

Sprig is planned for Steam on PC and macOS, with a target release window of 2027. The Coming Soon page is live here:

Hi everyone! I’m working on Sprig, a cozy 3D exploration game where you play as a curious rabbit exploring peaceful levels, discovering real-world animals, and adding them to your nature journal.

The goal is to make something calm, wholesome, and genuinely no-stress: no enemies, no timers, no scary music, and no pressure to rush. You explore at your own pace, use tools like a magnifying glass and flashlight, solve light environmental puzzles, and complete animal collections.

It’s planned as a short, complete adventure rather than an endless sandbox, with a beginning, an end, achievements, controller support, and a demo planned later in development.

I just got the Steam Coming Soon page approved, so wishlists are now open. I’d really love feedback from cozy game players on the trailer, the vibe, and whether the store page communicates the game clearly.
