Here’s a quick progress update!
I’ve been recreating the old Lifeboat Tropical Lobby from around 2014-2016. The project has come a long way, and most of the iconic areas are now finished. Most of it is done, Theres just some obvious finishing touches ive been procrastinating like the Trees , Tree house and Corner tower.

The goal has always been to preserve one of MCPE’s most memorable lobbies so old players can experience it again. It won’t be a perfect 1:1 recreation, but I’m doing everything I can to capture the look and feel of the original. A lot of the Lobby has been created on a 1:1 scale like the paths, and starting hub. But a good portion of the landscape is more of a resemblance. I wont pretend its perfect but its going to be close!

I’m tired of reminiscing about the old Lifeboat days and reading posts about how much people loved the tropical island lobby from around 2014-2016. It was where a lot of us made friends and some of our best MCPE memories.

Let's face it, the map probably isn’t coming back, and any original download has likely been lost to time.

Because of that, I’ve decided to recreate the Tropical Lobby myself and do my best to preserve it. I only started on Monday, but I’ve already made substantial progress using old screenshots, and videos. It won’t be perfect, but I’m aiming to make it as accurate as possible.

If you have any old screenshots, or recordings of the lobby, I’d love to see them. Even small details can help.
