Freshers — be careful about which IIEST group you join

There seem to be two major fresher groups circulating in IIEST, and honestly, the difference is quite noticeable.

From what I’ve seen, “IIEST 2026 Freshers Official” has a very different vibe from the other fresher group. Some seniors there seem to treat the interaction with juniors more like a hierarchy/ragging session than an actual attempt to help freshers.

One thing that particularly bothers me is the insistence on an exact introduction format. Being told exactly how to introduce yourself, what information to include, etc.

It is a advice to freshers to think twice before joining/actively participating in the any group and choose communities where seniors actually help juniors without unnecessary hierarchy or pressure.

College is already overwhelming enough for a fresher. We don't need artificial senior-junior power games on top of it.

And complaint to anti ragging or parents in case of any harassment, email the dean (can file a legal case against those retards)
