This is my first time modding an ipod. I’ve been looking into modding a first gen ipod mini, specifically replacing the battery and switching to a cf card.

First, I’ve heard that cf cards can better for the first gen’s, so i’ve been looking into those. How do you decide what is enough storage for you? What would happen if you ran out of storage? I’ve looked through many posts on here and I’ve mostly seen people recommend larger sizes like 128GB, but I don’t think I could ever get close to filling that up??

Second, I’m seeing a lot of mixed responses about what brands and sellers to purchase these parts from, especially about replacing the battery. Is a Cameron Sino 750mAh battery worth it because of its reliability? Should I be concerned about it breaking the internals if it expands since the battery is thicker than the OEM one? Is Sandisk the best place to get the cf card from, or are there other more affordable but trustworthy brands?

Back when the Sleepyhead album first came out, I bought a record of it and a record of Lemon Boy from Cavetown’s shop. I’ve recently wanted to move away from Spotify and use an mp3 player, so I wanted to download the digital versions of these albums, but the link that was given to me with the order doesn’t work anymore.

I know this was six years ago at this point, but I was wondering if anyone knows how I could get the digital copies? I never downloaded the albums using the link when it was first given to me cause I didn’t see why I would need them at the time lol.

I also think the store, Second City Prints, is no longer is business so I can’t contact them to get the copies :(

I thought i’d ask and see if anyone else experienced this.

TLDR: Bought records from the Cavetown store a while back and now want to download the digital copies that came with them, but the link doesn’t work. Company went out of business? Anyone know what to do?
