DO NOT GET PLUSHBEDS

This summer we made the mistake of buying a plushbeds luxury bliss hybrid mattress (latex+springs) in a standard king size.

Firstly took 1.5 months to arrive. And the mattress came disassembled. Meaning the springs were inside the cover but the latex foam layer was separate. The delivery team left it on top as if it were a topper with no knowledge they had to assemble it. We called customer service and they were like uh yeah they're supposed to put it inside and zip it up. BUT here's the fun part. The springs were like barely a queen size while the foam layer was bigger than a king. We had to record everything and take a thousand pictures to prove our measurements. They were apologetic about both aspects of this messed up delivery and said they would send a replacement for both and be sure the delivery team set it up for us.

Several weeks later we get a topper thinner than the original.. then a few days later the base. We were supposed to use the original zipper cover to put both inside. Then separately a team to assemble it all. So meanwhile all these parts are taking up a bunch of space in our home. After they set it up, we realized the sizing is off AGAIN. The base was several inches smaller on both sides. This time they didn't even apologize. They knew they messed up big and just offered a full refund without the restocking fee.

In addition, this company claims to be organic natural gots certified oekotex certified whatever. The odor the first time was rubbery and strong but they swore it was safe for us to sleep on with our baby and we did and it was ok. The second time IDK WHAT THE SPRINGS WERE MADE OF BUT THE SMELL DID NOT GO AWAY FOR WEEKS OF AIRING OUT and we refused to sleep in there because after 2 days it was not getting better. I'm terrified of what we exposed our baby to. Nobody could pick it up for weeks and we were completely over this company by then.

Fast-forward to today. Got our brand new avocado mattress and they have all the same claims and certifications -- the most gentle of latex smells ever. This confirms my belief that plushbeds is using some chemical process that may be unsafe.

Do not get plushbeds they do not know what they're doing and might even be more chemicals than they are letting on. Spring (no pun intended) for an avocado mattress if you like the concept of hybrid latex coil beds!!

My baby has had silent reflux since she came home from the NICU and constipation that started about 2 months after that, but I've heard so much conflicting stuff about whether or not she has an intolerance from health professionals. In the middle her silent reflux got better but came back so badly around 4 months and now we're 5 months adjusted and it's constant all the time. When the silent reflux flared again at 4 months she started having shiny poops too. No blood.
