Job Start

Hello I just got job offer for entry level structural welder in RI, i only went to trade school and learned mainly stick but havent welded in a year, i explained that to person interviewing me and still got job, so was wondering if they expect me to like pass weld tests immediately or do they train and certify you and everything for a bit.

Also what the timeline is like, im from out if state moving and no relocation package so obviously have to pay for it myself.

Another thing where is best place to live, apartments etc, im only 22, bad credit from when 18 and dumb, grew up small town texas, then lived in suburbs in nebraska currently and i would prefer city ish feel, and walkable without paying freaking 2k a month
budget is about 1500

plus anymore tips or things i should know

thanks for the help
