Really struggling

I'm really really struggling. My aggressive scalp SCC has spread to my neck lymph nodes and I'm absolutely petrified. I'm so scared that I won't see my children again. I'm scared going to every scan to the point that I feel like I could be physically sick. I can't concentrate, I'm in brain fog and I want to cry during every happy moment with my children. Please help someone by telling me any positive stage 4 skin cancer stories, or anyone in remission? I can't stand the thought of not seeing my babies grow up. This is so cruel x

Ear ache and possible spread to lymph nodes

Hi, I'm following this group quite a lot recently, and it's so lovely to have others to chat to, as sometimes having cancer can feel lonely.

I have had an SCC, aggressive type, a CT scan showed enlarged lymph nodes in my neck (the same side as SCC). I now have severe ear pain and pain on my neck, I'm 100%positive it has spread to my lymph nodes. I'm having an ultrasound and biopsy on Wednesday.

Anyone treated and been cured of either stage 3 or 4 SCC cancer that has metasized? I'm looking for hope. I have a young family and I'm heartbroken.

3 small volume lymph nodes found

Hi, 3 small volume lymph nodes found on a CT scan after high risk SCC found on scalp. They're all under 1CM at the time of scan so hoping all is ok. All on the right side of neck.

Anyone had similar experiences and loved a long happy life?x

SCC

Hi everyone,

I guess I'm just looking for some comfort in the middle of the night, having anxiety pangs.

1 month ago, I had an aggressive high risk SCC removed via surgery. Margins were clear. Had a CT scan 3 weeks ago - still no results!

However, I have found another spot that looks just like my previous one did.

Would I be silly to ring the nurses office and ask if I can get my follow up appointment earlier to check it out? I'm due to see the consultant every 4 months, so I'd have another 3 months to wait if I did that. Can I ask for a biopsy of it's NHS?

Thanks so much for any advice.xx

Support needed

Hello, I'm completely spiralling.

It was confirmed that I had an aggressive, high risk SCC on scalp. Today, they are looking to see if it has spread to my lymph nodes as they are raised. I am so frightened, I have two babies to care for, and I'm just so upset. I feel this is it.

My husband wasn't there for me.

I don't know if I'm looking for advice, or just a chance to write things down.

I've had a long, worrying time, waiting for tests, treatment and diagnosis of skin cancer.

Throughout it, my husband's has been great. However, on the morning of having it removed, he slept through his alarm and only managed to get up 15 minutes before I left the house (he was taking the kids to school to keep things normal).

He had decided to keep taking a strong antihistamine for his hayfever, so was out of it.

I was obviously devastated he hadn't got up in time, and wasn't there for me that morning, even just a reassuring hug, or a cup of tea.

He kept ringing to apologise, texting etc, but I just can't forgive him.

We're now currently going through separation because of this, as well as general lack of communication and room mate style marriage.

Just feel heartbroken.
