Hi everyone!

I’m looking for recommendations for sending two large suitcases from Finland to Germany (to a friend’s address).

I’ll be travelling to Germany myself, but my journey involves a flight plus several train connections afterwards. I really don’t want to drag two heavy suitcases through airport and multiple train changes, so I’m thinking of shipping them separately beforehand and travelling light.

I already know about Send My Bag, which seems like the most obvious door-to-door option. Are there any other reliable services/platforms I should compare with it?

Ideally I’m looking for: Door-to-door pickup and delivery Ability to send actual suitcases (not necessarily having to put them inside cardboard boxes) Reasonable price

Has anyone done something similar recently? Which service did you use, how much did it cost approximately, and would you recommend it?

I’ll be moving to beautiful Aarhus toward the end of September to start a new position at Aarhus University. My visa process took a little longer than expected because of the summer holidays, so I’m only now starting my housing search.

Ideally, I’m looking for a 2-bedroom apartment, but I’m also very open to sharing a flat/house with friendly people.

A little about me: I’m a researcher/scientist, moving to Aarhus for work at the university. I’m clean, responsible and easy-going, and I’m hoping to find somewhere that feels like home rather than just temporary accommodation.

Since I’m new to Aarhus, I’d really appreciate any recommendations for:

• Good neighbourhoods to live in, especially with an easy commute to Aarhus University
• Websites/Facebook groups/housing associations worth checking
• Anyone looking for a new tenant or flatmate from late September/October
• Things I should know about the Aarhus rental market as a newcomer

I’m moving out of Helsinki soon and will be selling/giving away quite a few things — everything from proper -20°C winter jackets to household stuff and my cute plants that I’ve grown with lots of love.

I’m especially looking for places where both Finns and internationals are active and where things can move relatively quickly.

I'm considering a postdoc at Aarhus University and I'm trying to understand how the salary scale (Scale 4–8 under the AC agreement) is determined. My background is: MSc completed in 2017 (India) PhD completed in India 2 years of postdoctoral experience at an EU Universiry All of my research experience since my MSc has been relevant to the position.

I'm wondering: How is salary seniority actually calculated for postdocs at Aarhus University?

Does post MSc time spent count towards salary seniority if it was completed outside Denmark or non EU nation?

Based on my background, would I likely be placed closer to Scale 5, Scale 6, or even Scale 8? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been hired as a postdoc at AU or another Danish university and has gone through the salary placement process.

Hi folks,

I've been taking lessons at Autokoulu but honestly feel like I need more behind-the-wheel time before my test on the 18th (failed my first one 😞 for being too slow driver). I've already spent a lot on the driving school and would love to get some extra practice without paying autokoulu prices.

I'm looking for someone who'd be willing to take me out for a drive – I am happy to pay a reasonable amount. Even just an hour or two of city and highway driving practice would make a huge difference.
