The Kopesh

I don't know about all of you but I'd rather fight a Kopesh/Deathbringer than a cultist who uses explosives! I take more damage from cultists than I do the kopesh

Dialogue change

One thing I've been experimenting with lately is changes in dialogue in reaction to Aloy's accomplishments. For example if you head to the Citadel before finding Olin, Sylens will contact you and warn Aloy about how the killers believe that they succeeded in killing her and her going in there would be a bad idea. Then if you go to where Olin is, Sylens will have slightly different dialogue than he normally would. Another example is if you do the DLC before going to the Grave Hoarde, Aloy and Sylens (if he's contacted you in the main story at this point) will point out that Hephaestus's name is weird and Sylens will point out that both it and Hades come from a language even the old ones considered ancient. One last example are the three Banuk hunters you can help in the DLC. The name they settle on changes depending on your last conversation with them. Stuff like this is why I keep coming back to this series.

Wish me luck

I'm attempting my Ultra Hard run of HZD. I just made it to the gate separating the sacred land from the Sundom

Okay this is a surprise!

So I'm on my NG+ run of ZD and I'm preparing for the final battle. I'm making my way to the spire when I see Aratak waiting for me! I had no idea he'd be here! I didn't think the devs would even think to include him here! God I love this series!

I love this bow!

So I eventually gritted my way through the frozen wilds story for the second time and thankfully the Fireclaw you fight in the cauldron dropped a heart so I went and used that to buy the Adept Striker Bow. Between that, the Adept Champion Bow, the Adept Powershot Bow, and the Adept Ropecaster (wish you could buy a Ropecaster from the Banuk to complete this set) I can take down most enemies with ease (the exceptions being the DLC machines).

Btw, when I was making my way through Thunder's Drum and I had the choice between the two routes to the tower, I chose the one with two scorchers and a behemoth...at first. THAT WAS A MISTAKE! I tried a couple times, but kept getting my butt kicked! Eventually I chose the upper route, cleared out those machines, then stayed up on high to terrrablast components off of the other three (I wanted revenge). Even after doing all that and taking out the Behemoth from a distance I STILL struggled against the two scorchers! When I eventually took them down I discovered the heavy weapons that were in the middle of that area. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL EARLIER DAMN IT! I swear Scorchers are tougher than any other machine I've faced! I'd rather face two Thunderjaws than two Scorchers

Also, Scorchers are cheaters! I was playing "The Survivor" mission and I knocked off ALL of the Scorcher's components and it could STILL use fire attacks!

Weapons from the Hunter's Lodge

Are the weapons from the Hunter's Lodge worth it? I have two Adept Hunter bows, but the one I use for fire attacks isn't as good as the Banuk hunter bow I, regrettably, sold. I was gonna get another one, but you need a fireclaw heart and I haven't progressed that far into the dlc story for it (nor do I want to at the moment). So I need a new bow for fire damage. I have the improved forefire, but that thing consumes a LOT of blaze when it comes to crafting ammo. So, are the weapons worth it?

Metal Flowers are not worth it!

So doing my NG+ playthrough of ZD I went and collected all the banuk figures, all the ancient relics, the metal flowers, and the vantage points. COLLECTING THE METAL FLOWERS IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE! None of the weaves or coils you get are worth it. ESPECIALLY since, iirc, the three boxes you get each contain a lot of green mystery boxes.

Found out something new

So I was playing through ZD again and I got to the part where you have to save everyone in the embrace from the eclipse. Normally I go to Mother's Watch, but this time I took a detour to Mother's Cradle and found three Braves who were being held prisoner. I swiftly executed the cultists and rescued the Braves. They joined me in clearing out the cultists at M.W.

Raccoons are evil!

I have spent the last twenty minutes trying to find raccoons! Why is it I can find basically every other animal just fine, but raccoons are the ones that never spawn in big groups like all the others? Even when I did find and kill one, they'd drop raccoon bones and not skin! I eventually found them in the wooded area south of Devil's Grief, but even then there were only two or three of them around compared to the 5+ boars, foxes, rabbits, and turkeys!

Fireclaws and Frostclaws

It really should be illegal for them to be that fast and that powerful! The most annoying thing is when the Fireclaw picks up a giant rock and nullifies my ropes!

Was expecting to find something

I was exploring the frozen wilds when I noticed this area in the southwest part of the frozen wilds map near a bunch of bluegleam. I fully expected it to be important since there's a campfire right before the trail starts and you find a bunch of supply boxes along the way, but there's nothing there. Anyone know if this area is part of a quest that I just haven't done yet or am I just making incorrect assumptions?

That was, without a doubt, the HARDEST fight in the game

Who the hell designed the bandit leader in Frozen Wilds?! This guy was harder than Helis and Hades COMBINED! I actually died to him a few times because of how quickly he burned through my shield and health. I eventually beat him by using my shadow tripcaster to take his health down. Mind you, I was level 50+ using a shadow tripcaster using the blastwire that does 546 impact damage and it took at LEAST six wires to kill him

Behemoth fight!

Honestly these fights against the big machines are so more much fun in ZD than in FW. Ropecaster, terrablast, freeze bombs, and pure explosive damage. If you don't have tiktok, I'll also be uploading the video on YouTube and put that link in the comment section below

Replaying Zero Dawn has reminded me of something

Of all the machines in the base game, Glinthawks are the ones I hate the MOST. Thunderjaws, Snapmaws, Behemoths, Thunderbirds? No big deal. Glinthawks? Those damn things will rain ice balls at you from on high! So damn annoying

One thing I hope to see in the final Horizon game

So I'm hoping that Nemesis will find a way to activate a Horus titan and we'll have to fight it. The one in Burning Shores was fun, but I'd like to fight a Horus that isn't severely crippled. How would we be able to take it down? Not sure. Maybe from the inside? I just want to fight one, damn it! It's the ultimate test! Taking down just one Horus that isn't being controlled by a person

Slightly fixing some of the Celestial Weapons

I'm only doing W.C., Godhand, Masamune, and Nirvana. First off, replace the double AP with triple AP for WC, Nirvana and GH.

Masamune: BDL, Magic Counter, First Strike, Counterattack

Nirvana: BLD, Triple AP, One Mp Cost, and I guess Magic Booster

Godhand: BDL, Triple AP, Gillionaire, and Alchemy

World Champion: BDL, Triple AP, Evade and Counter, and Magic Counter

Naida and Tatts

Why did the devs make it so that these two can't learn more tackles or passes? Tatts has a good PA, but I need him to learn a damn tackle that ISN'T part of the drain tackle line. And Naida needs TO LEARN A PASS TECHNIQUE! But what can she learn? Wither Pass and a lot of shot techs. She's not a shooter, she's a defender! I know there are other NPCs that could replace these two, but I've spent a lot of time raising their stats and the only one I'd want, Kukuklan, is already with another team!

The other team won't follow the rules

Everyone knows that if you have a character waiting behind the goalie the other team is supposed to spin around in circles until time is up.

Auroch Reels

So I've been soft resetting my game after every 10 or so random encounters in order to get my number of battles up to 450. I'll do 10 random encounters, save, check out blitzball, and if auroch reels isn't a tourny prize I soft reset my game and repeat the cycle. Will this work in the long run?

UPDATE: AFTER SKIPPING THE FIRST TOURNAMENT TO POP UP THIS ROUND AND PLAYING A FEW LEAGUE MATCHES, A TOURNAMENT POPPED UP WITH AUROCH REELS AS THE NUMBER 1 PRIZE
