When I eat roti or lentils, my pain increases and I experience a stabbing or pricking sensation throughout my abdomen. The pain is mainly located in the epigastric region. I also experience frequent burping, increased hunger, and ongoing weight loss.

Could these symptoms be due to functional dyspepsia, pangastritis, or something else?

previously had erosive gastritis caused by H. pylori about a year ago. Recently, I started experiencing discomfort again, so I got it checked. The test showed pangastritis, but H. pylori is negative.

I have been taking a PPI for the past two months, but I haven’t experienced any relief. I have a lot of burping, and whenever I eat dal or roti, I experience significant pain.

My doctor says that it is functional dyspepsia. Could this actually be functional dyspepsia, or could there be some other underlying cause?

In 2025, I was diagnosed with gastritis along with H. pylori. After about six months, it healed. At that time, I did not take PPIs, but I used to eat curd on an empty stomach.

However, when I started eating curd from the market, my symptoms returned, and I was diagnosed with pangastritis again. I currently have many symptoms.

My pain gets worse after eating roti and dal, whereas it is less severe when I eat rice. I have been taking a PPI for the past two months, but it has not helped at all. My symptoms are still the same.

I have lost 8 kg, and my life has become extremely difficult because of these symptoms.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms? If so, please share your experience and what helped you.

Anyone have symptoms of gastritis and alse cured from which treatment

first had erosive gastritis in February 2025, and it relieved by September 2025. I ate curd on an empty stomach and took pantoprazole and sucralfate.

However, it came back again in June 2026. My endoscopy report says gastritis.

Now, even pantoprazole doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t digest most foods except dosa and other fermented foods.
