I am quitting Opera

I noticed Opera's history broke. Years upon years of information suddenly nuked outside of any of my input. Just gone. Completely irreversibly an entire catalog of years of browsing destroyed. But I adapted. I let it slide. I made do without history from that point on. But then I just reloaded Opera and it logged me out of all of accounts across all platforms. That was the nail in the coffin. With all of the various platforms having inconsistent policies regarding berating you to use their shitty password rules (sometimes even mandating 6 month password rotations where no passwords can stay the same) there is a huge trust in that browser to keep the cache or a least remember the contrived passwords for even a smidge of baseline access to my accounts and Internet activity. But this trust has been repeatedly demolished. If I didn't have redundancies I would be locked out of my bank account as well as my critical communication, intimate relationships, the friends accrued across life that moved away, with surgeons and occupation. If I didn't have redundancies and trusted Opera completely I would be ruined on so many fronts I would probably consider suicide. And all this for what? What possible reason would Opera have to destroy everything on a designee's update whim? This is the last straw. Forget the security risks. Forget the bloatware that destroys your RAM. If you use Opera and trust it you have a deep and active liability. Not because of what is done with your data. But by the very fact it can be taken away by a lapse of judgment of corporate stupidity.

Hugely disappointed after years of use. I am disgusted I let this parasite so close to my skin and intimate data. I will have trust issues for the rest of my life.
