1 year calisthenics progress
hey everyone, this are some of my best attempts at various skills after a year of training that i think look cool (for the average person). I started at 53kg 180cm and I could barely do 3 pull ups, could not hold my weight upside down and was unable to do more than 5 push ups. now i’m 60kg and I have multiple reps in dips and pull ups with +30kg, solid one leg advanced FL, 10+ seconds of freestanding handstand (form is pretty bad tho), slow MU and halflay back lever (not good but working on it)
During this year I trained 3 times a week for 1:30hrs, only skipped training two times, but I had many issues eating enough calories, I did not supplement any protein, basically my diet has been very poor.
I know I could have gained so much more results if I ate accordingly, but it depends on my mental and it’s the harderst part to me.
the point i’m trying to make is that you don’t need to be in the perfect shape or mindset to start, just train, even if you only have 10% to give, and someday you’ll be able to do things your past self could only dream of. don’t train to impress the others, train to be proud of your achievements and your hard work.
