Is the elbow lever really a beginner friendly skill?

I keep seeing videos that say the elbow lever is really easy and quick to learn, is this a gag or are they serious? Every time I try one I always fall flat on my face, so is there a simple way to learn one?

Where To Start. I'm 22yo 140lbs 6ft1, I want to better myself

My body is always in pain and I feel weak. I have never really enjoyed crazy weight lifting or getting super big so calisthenics seems like the way to go for me. Where should I start, how to build a proper workout routine. Is there any influencers or YouTube channels that are helpful for starting out? I have done a little bit of research on what calisthenics is and the Physique I would like to achieve. Also I learned that there was body physique categories and I guess I am what is called Ectomorph. Is there specialized workouts for that build? Or does me being that skinny Just make progression harder? I do have a very High metabolism and gaining weight has always been a problem.

Any tips or if people could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated thank you!

is it true that calisthenics is inefficient for shorter people?

sorry for this weird and sudden question but i heard some info from random gym trainers i talked to that calisthenics is useless for short people and should just stack to lifting. what are your opinions on this ?

I built my first Android app: A tiny calisthenics dice app that removes workout planning

Hey everyone,

I just launched my first Android app on Google Play and would love honest feedback from other builders.

The app is called Alea. It’s a small calisthenics dice app: one die chooses the exercise, another chooses the reps. The idea is simple: when you don’t know what to train, you roll and start moving.

What it currently has:

- Random bodyweight exercise + reps

- 100-rep workout mode

- Streaks

- Basic stats

- Workout history

- No ads

- No account

- No subscription

I’d love feedback on:

- Is the concept clear?

- Is the Play Store listing convincing?

- Does the app feel too simple, or is that the point?

- What would you add without making it bloated?

- Any UX/UI issues?

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alealabs.alea

Thanks !
This is my first released app, so honest feedback would help a lot.

What’s harder to balance a handstand? Floor or P-Bars?

I would say in my personal opinion floor is harder, since on the parallettes you can basically use your forearm flexion to find your balance + reduces strain on wrists. But what do you guys think? Let me know!

What is this? I held it. I'm working towards the full front lever.

I lowered from an inverted hang to this and held it like that.

23M Starting Calisthenics as a Skinny Guy. Can I get ripped & hit 10% BF with JUST bodyweight? 🏜️💪

Hey everyone,

I’m a 23-year-old male, and I just started my calisthenics journey a few days ago. I’m really enjoying it so far, but since I'm brand new, I wanted to get some insight from people who have been doing this for a while.

For context I’m currently a pretty skinny guy. What should I realistically expect in the first few months?

My ultimate goals are:

  • To build a decent, athletic amount of muscle.
  • To drop down to around 10% body fat so my abs and muscle definition really show.

Is it entirely possible to achieve this kind of ripped, lean physique using only calisthenics? I'd love to hear about your experiences, how long it took you to see real visual changes, Also, if you could go back to day one, what is the #1 piece of advice you wish someone had told you?

Thanks in advance for the help!
