I've updated my original sheet for weapon performance. Main changes: burst weapon TTK has been hand measured and calculated and ranges were touched up. We finally have definitive numbers for burst weapons! The performance of certain charge weapons still mystify me, but 95% of the weapon data is here.
For new players, Marathon runners have 140-200HP, with white shields giving 20hp on top of the base 120hp.
Text vomit for nerds:
TTK was measured and calculated with 60 FPS footage, so fast burst pistols like the D54 may be off by a bit. I'm surprised by the performance of the Twin Tap. I think players missing 1/2 shots per burst must contribute to its lackluster impressions. It killing purple/blue with all heads in the same time comes from a 2.5 bursts to the head doing 168dmg, meaning the last round of the third burst hits for 33.6 and kills a 180hp/200hp runner. For burst weapons, TTK is input manually, while "RPM" describes the number of rounds you'd expect to throw down range in 1 minute. Yes, I did consider weapons taking an additional burst to kill/killing within a burst. In-game RPM for these weapons describe the burst duration without consideration of the delay between bursts.
As always, numbers are just numbers. Certain weapons have bloom, recoil, or shot pacing characteristics that prevent them from reaching their optimal TTK. The MIDA M1T, for instance, has a bloom circle that grows beyond its aim assist circle by perhaps 3 degrees, meaning it can virtually never achieve it's optimal TTK, much like the Longshot.
Eight free Misriahs available to claim as part of this week's C.A.R.R.I. weapon showcase! You can get all eight for 150 commendations.
I anticipated the Misriah nerf to drop this week with the weapon showcase, but instead, we're getting it next week with Vault Breakers. Enjoy the chaos.
Some of these barters are genuinely useless. Biomata nodes are required for a ton of upgrades, and you're finding just a couple per raid even if you survive if you're not grinding pinwheel 24/7. This repeater probably sells for 1.4k credits. Vault space is damn limited. I'm not keeping repeaters in my vault. I'm effectively playing for the convenience of not needing to hit multiple arms lockers and roll for a repeater.
Don't even get me started on the 2 Cetinite rods barter for a KKV. It's buyable for 1k credits, and that's a lot easier to get compared to a salvage that's basically only obtainable in Maintenance.
I feel like players, at the end of the day, should be rewarded for bartering, using their schemas, or checking their daily deals. You shouldn't literally get scammed.
New story missions are buried underneath the limited contracts for Traxus and MIDA faction. God knows why they did this, but it looks like Red Ocean Strategy isn't even the final part of these contracts, given Concept Validation was a priority style limited contract featuring new assets and objectives and Market Disruption will likely be as well.
I have no idea why they're "limited" or worded that way, as it would really suck to have you miss out on such cool skins for the KKV and BR33. Would love some Bungie clarification on this set of quests and how they plan to implement their "new contracts system" in Season 3.
