So, yeah I got the last one they had. Seems solid as my old one. Here's hoping it lasts as long as the original.

99 bucks is a really good deal I think.

If a particular store address says in the app they are participating in a sale or prize drawing, yet when I get there they say they are not and the app and flyers are general to all stores and each store may participate at their own discretion...

Is that true?

If the prescribed method works...

Following the indirect method from the Weber owners manual and tossed in a handfull of chips every so often.. I've tried other ways like snake and coals to one side but this one is pretty simple and mostly stable. I had a couple spikes up to 325deg but I'm still learning vent control so there's that. I've never cooked anything on this Kettle that my friends and family didn't love.

On a side note, is the a better way to keep bologna from splitting at the seems like this? I'm sure the temperature got to hot for a bit but should I score it differently or even score it at all?

Cooked 10lbs of chicken quarters on this 10 dollar kettle I found over the weekend. Another 12 dollars to replace the bottom vent/sweeper that was gone. And I found a use for one of my five dollar skillets i get everytime I visit the Lodge store.

Kicking my self for not taking pics of how wonderful the chicken turned out. The family got too excited and hungry smelling this thing cook for 2 hours.

It's already ruined me from using anything else!
