China Eliminates 12,000 ‘obsolete’ university degrees in push to prepare for the AI era.

Good for BABA… in a few years? Haha

Chinese universities have eliminated 12,000 arts, humanities, and languages degree programs.
This restructuring aims to align higher education with China's goal of an AI-driven economy.
Nearly a third of all university programs in China have been impacted, affecting millions of students.
Between 2021 and 2025, 10,200 new undergraduate tech-focused programs, such as 'embodied intelligence', were introduced.
This educational shift in China is part of a global trend, with countries like India, UAE, Kazakhstan, Spain, and the UK also integrating AI into their national curricula.

Any upcoming catalysts?

Usually there is an upcoming date (trump meeting xi, earnings call etc)

Seems like it’s just gonna do its thing with no real news anytime soon?
