Settings for Smoother Gameplay in Pinball FX on the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme at 15W
Hi everyone,
Previously, I asked for advice on how to reduce input lag while playing Pinball FX on the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme in 15W mode. Thank you all very much for your suggestions!
After considering everyone’s ideas, find settings on internet, asking AI for advice, and doing a lot of testing and tweaking, I finally found settings that provide noticeably lower latency while still keeping the graphics at an acceptable level.
The game now feels much smoother and more responsive than before, so I wanted to share these settings with anyone who might find them useful. If anyone has found even better settings or optimizations, please correct me,and if you use other handheld like steamdeck, I do`nt know how does it perform, maybe you can try this setting ,Thank you!

With these settings, when playing Snoopy Pinball, setting the FPS limit to 60 allows the game to maintain a stable 60 FPS according to the Steam performance monitor.
If the FPS limit is set to Unlimited, the Steam performance monitor shows that the game can exceed 200 FPS, but it does consume more battery power.
If you still feel the game is not smooth enough, you can lower the resolution to 1280×720, which allows the Steam performance monitor to reach around 240 FPS, but it does consume more battery power. Personally, I think setting it to 72 FPS already feels very smooth.
However, I’m still not sure whether these settings are suitable for Pinball FX Midnight tables yet. I’ll test them more later and see how they perform.
I want to share these settings with everyone, and once again, thank you all for your help and suggestions!
