Vivi s-ent these over and I’ve mostly been checking the two zipper sides, handle placement, and how the flap sits.
The overall balance looks good to me so far, including the back and base. I’m leaning GL, but would love another opinion on the hardware and zipper alignment before I confirm.
I wasn’t completely sold from the photos because the leather looked a little softer than I expected, but seeing it in hand changed my mind.
In natural light, the grain comes through much better and the black doesn’t look flat at all. The slight softness actually suits this shape — it gives the front a more relaxed look without losing its structure.
What I like most is how understated it feels. Black leather, silver hardware, no loud color… just very easy to carry.
There are always tiny things you can find if you keep zooming in, but as a whole, this one makes much more sense in person than it did in the photos.

I took this one from Mo out for a full day instead of just carrying it around for photos, and that changed my opinion of it quite a bit.
By lunch, I’d already thrown in my wallet, sunglasses, charger, receipts, hand cream and a bottle of water. It still looked pretty put together, which honestly surprised me because I’m not gentle with my everyday bags.
After carrying it all day, the biggest thing I noticed was how easy it is. I was dressed pretty casually and just grabbed it on the way out without really thinking about the outfit.
The only thing I noticed after a few hours is the weight. Empty, it feels fine. Full, my hand definitely had opinions 😂
Mo asked me early on whether I wanted something I’d admire or something I’d actually use a lot. At the time I thought that was basically the same thing. Apparently not.
After one proper day out, this may be the least exciting choice I’ve made on paper and one of the smartest in real life.
Current rating: 9/10.
Minus one point because apparently I still haven’t learned to stop carrying half my house with me.
I finally took this Kelly Picnic from Mo out, and visually it’s exactly what I wanted—light, structured, and much easier to style than I expected.
The wicker body keeps it surprisingly light, but the opening is definitely not something I can use in a rush. I have to place everything properly instead of throwing things in, and I’m already being careful not to rub the woven corners against anything.
I asked Mo for a closer video of the wicker edges and flap before confirming, since those were the parts I was most unsure about. The video was much more helpful than trying to judge everything from still photos.
Still, with a simple dress or linen outfit, it does all the work. Not my most practical bag, but probably the one that feels the most like summer.
