Herbag

I am thinking of getting an oroginal herbag, but i would lile to see if the bag is practical for my lifestyle, so i found this sub. Do you know if there are good herbag reps as well and how much they would appr. be?

My little Pégase collection

Finally put all my Pégase charms together for a little family photo. I didn’t realize how different they looked until I saw all the colors side by side.

Some are soft and sweet, some are much brighter, and each one gives a bag a completely different personality. Honestly, seeing them all together just makes me want to keep collecting more 😭

8L Glacier White Matte Alligator B25——Miss An.

I just received the photos for this 8L Glacier White matte alligator B25 with GHW. I love how clean the color looks, but this is my first light-colored exotic bag, so I’m not very confident judging it. I’ve attached the photos and would really appreciate any feedback before I confirm.

I wore my K32 with the laziest outfit possible… and somehow I like it more this way

Oversized tee, loose pants, slides — basically zero effort.

Do you prefer K-elly with polished outfits, or styled completely casual like this?

Rouge H Kelly 25 from Li

I recently received this Rouge H Kelly 25 from Li.

Before deciding, I spent some time talking through the color, leather, and hardware because I wasn’t completely sure how the combination would feel in person. Li also shared a few extra photos, which helped me compare the overall look before I settled on this one.

Once I had it in hand, I mainly looked at the Sellier shape, the Box leather, stitching, edges, and hardware. The structure is very sharp, and the smooth leather gives the color a slightly deeper, more vintage feel than I expected.

The gold hardware also works really well with Rouge H. I thought it might make the bag feel too formal, but in person it feels warmer and more balanced.

This is my first Kelly in this exact combination, and so far I’m really happy with how it came together.

Timeline
Late July: Started discussing the color with Li
August 4–6: Settled on Rouge H
August 10: Received detail photos
August 17: Received the bag

First bag: Matte Croc Birkin 30 from Miss An

This is my first bag, so I’m still pretty new to QC and exotic leather. I chose this black matte croc B30 from Miss An with GHW because I wanted something classic but still special. It looks good to me so far, but I’d really appreciate any advice from more experienced eyes. Thank you!

Finally got the Kelly Ado I’ve been waiting for

I’ve wanted this Kelly Ado for so long, and it finally arrived. The creamy white with GHW is such an easy combo, and I didn’t expect the leather to feel this light.

The capacity is also way better than I imagined. Cute enough to look at, practical enough to actually use.

Two-Tone Mini Kelly II in Cream White & Grey with PHW

I’ve had this two-tone Mini Kelly II for a little while now, and the color combination has grown on me way more than I expected.

At first I wasn’t completely sure about mixing cream white with grey. I thought I might end up wishing I had chosen a single color, but once I started carrying it, the darker handle and sangles actually became my favorite part. They break up the lighter body nicely, and I also worry a little less about the handle showing wear.

The Mini Kelly capacity is still… very Mini Kelly 😂 A cardholder, keys, lipstick and a few tiny things basically fill it up, so I’ve stopped pretending it’s practical. But for dinner or a quick outing, I’ve been reaching for it more often than I thought I would.

The PHW was also the right choice for me. With two colors already going on, I think gold hardware might have made the bag feel too busy.

Overall, I am very satisfied.

What colors would you recommend for deep teal, deep olive, and blue violet?

I am a “deep winter” (light olive skin with dark brown hair/eyes). So, I look best in jewel tones. I want to build a Birkin collection of leather colors in deep teal (blue green color), deep olive, and a saturated blue violet. The Hermes store near me didn’t have much in the way of these color swatches. Photos of resale bags online in these colors varies widely. So what do you believe are the best Hermes colors for deep teal (blue green color), deep olive, and blue violet? I like the Birkin 35 size so it will also need to be a lightweight leather.

This BK is so big I’m pretty sure I could fit inside it

At this point it’s less “handbag” and more “luxury moving bag”.

Would you actually carry something this huge, or is this where big bags officially go too far?

Hermès hardware scratches way easier than I expected 😭

I knew mirror-finish hardware would show scratches, but I didn’t expect it to happen this fast. I’ve only carried this bag twice and the hardware already has a bunch of tiny marks.

As someone who notices every little scratch, this is honestly painful to look at 😭 Do you just accept the scratches over time, or is there any safe way to make them less noticeable?

Hermes leather comparison.

When I first started looking at Hermès, I thought leather names were just technical details.
Togo, Epsom, Swift, Box…
They all sounded important, but I assumed they were mostly about texture.
After seeing and handling different bags, I realized leather choice changes almost everything:

How the bag feels in your hand

How much it weighs

Whether it keeps its shape

How easily it scratches

How it looks after years of use

In other words, the leather determines not just how the bag looks, but how it lives with you.
Here’s a practical breakdown of the most common Hermès leathers.

Togo
The most versatile option.
Natural grain, medium structure, and excellent durability. It softens slightly over time while keeping its shape well.
Think of it as: the balanced all-rounder.

Clemence (TC)
Softer and heavier than Togo.
The larger grain gives it a more relaxed, slouchy appearance.
Think of it as: effortless and casual.

Epsom
Embossed calfskin with a rigid structure.
Lightweight, highly shape-retentive, and easy to maintain.
Think of it as: crisp and architectural.

Evercolor
Fine-grained leather with a soft hand feel.
Combines elegance with practicality.
Think of it as: understated sophistication.

Swift
Very smooth and buttery.
Known for rich color saturation and an incredibly soft touch.
Think of it as: luxurious and tactile.

Box Calf
Classic smooth leather with a subtle shine.
Shows scratches easily but develops beautiful character.
Think of it as: timeless and refined.

Mysore
Fine-grained goatskin.
Lightweight, resilient, and slightly dressier.
Think of it as: discreet elegance.

Barenia
Natural saddle leather.
Develops a deep patina and unique personality over time.
Think of it as: the leather that tells your story.

Barenia Faubourg
Grained Barenia with better everyday practicality.
Think of it as: character with less stress.

Quick Recommendations

Best first leather: Togo

Best structure: Epsom

Best softness: Swift

Best relaxed look: Clemence

Best aging: Barenia

Most classic: Box

What surprised me most is that the leather I admired most in photos wasn’t the one I ended up loving to use.

Constance Élan Gris Tourterelle Croc with PHW

After receiving it, the first thing that surprised me was how much slimmer and more wearable the shape feels in person. The croc texture also shows much better than in the PSPs, and the grey shifts slightly depending on the light. I’m especially happy with the PHW because it keeps the large H closure from feeling too heavy.

I also asked Miss An for extra photos of the front scales before confirming, and she was patient while I compared everything.

If there’s a next opportunity, we’ll collaborate again.

Trying a softer Kelly 25 from Miss An

I usually prefer Kelly bags with a cleaner, more structured shape, so choosing this Swift K25 felt a little different for me.

Since this is my first Swift Kelly, I’m not sure how much softness or slight slouching is normal. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Lindy PSPs are in — would you GL this one?

Vivi s-ent these over and I’ve mostly been checking the two zipper sides, handle placement, and how the flap sits.

The overall balance looks good to me so far, including the back and base. I’m leaning GL, but would love another opinion on the hardware and zipper alignment before I confirm.

My SA came in on her day off for my birthday

My SA was supposed to be off today, but she knew it was my birthday and still came back for a few hours. She even prepared flowers and a little surprise for me.

I honestly wasn’t expecting any of this, so seeing everything on the table really got me. And yes… the little black bag made the birthday even better.
