Any running tracks open to the public in the area?

I was never able to find a high school track that I could access during the school year, but figured maybe there would be some available now? Anyone have any luck finding a track they can run on (and any limitations that you're aware of)?

Recent experience getting tickets?

Anyone have any recent experience to share about attending a taping? It looks like now everyone needs their OWN ticket (so I can't get a few tickets for a group of friends?), I'm wondering if I should be concerned about everyone getting in or is it pretty much first come first served? I guess I could do something like collect email addresses and apply on everyone's behalf just to make sure we're all submitted at the same time?

And was interested in applying for >1 game, but looks like that's baked in - they ask you only get a ticket to 1 taping (ask if you can stay for the second one if you want), but each taping is a few episodes.

Other than that, any tips on booking tickets/the experience day of? TYIA!

Current running watch options?

I have a birthday coming up and considering adding a new watch to my wish list. I bought a used Garmin 6 years ago. It still works just fine, so I've resisted the new shiny watches so far, but as someone who sort of always struggles to think of birthday gift ideas anyway, I'm considering upgrading.

I think I'm torn between Coros (probably the Pace 3) and the Suunto (the Run). Battery life is nice, but I only really wear it to run, I don't mind charging it every few days. I don't care too much about things like sleep tracking, and I guess HR monitoring would be nice, but since I don't really want to deal with a separate strap, less important (since optical HR on a watch is notoriously unreliable anyway)

I've tried to get a sneak peek at their apps, but it's hard to see too much of them without a watch to sync data to it. I would consider a new Garmin, but don't want to spend over $300 and find their Connect app fine but not awesome.

There are some good reviews and posts around Reddit, but with new watches/models coming out so often, they're outdated so quickly!

Anyone have a watch that they love? Bonus points if you have a review of Coros or the Suunto Run!

Anyone use a Pfitz plan for HM training?

A few weeks ago, I ran a full after training using Pfitz 18/55. The plan was hard (I'm definitely on the slower end of a Pfitz runner), but I enjoyed the challenge, really surprised myself in completing the whole thing, and had great results (broke 4 hours and PRed by 45 minutes lol).

I'm signed up for a half later this year, and training starts soon. Has anyone used the Pfitz plans from Faster Road Racing and can share thoughts/reviews?

I'm an idiot and thought that the lowest mileage plan was 12/63, and had just finally convinced myself it would be a good build on the 18/55 plan I had completed, when I found the 12/47 plan. So I'll have to decide whether I want to push for the 12/63 (although having flexibility to trim miles here & there sounds helpful).

Some of the weeks & speedwork definitely looks challenging, but I also like the idea of continuing to build my mileage a bit and see how I respond. I don't own the Faster Road Running book, but I do own Advanced Marathoning, which seems like it pretty much covers what I need to follow the plan?

I'd love to hear about any experience with the plan(s)!

All In: Robin's Yellow Challenge

Thought a thread comparing reviews/plans for classes in the Robin's Yellow challenge might be helpful!

Feel free to post about classes you've taken - how hard it was, any specifics (like incline for tread classes maybe?), playlist reviews, overall vibes, what have you.

Hope this is allowed!

I'm trying tomatoes for the first time this year, I'm in Zone 9B with a very sunny spot (currently the planter box gets shade starting around 3 pm). I'm trying Early Girl, Better Boy, and Celebrity.

We bought the plants from a nursery, so my best guess is they've already been getting some hardening while they've been displayed for sale, but for the last few days we've still been 'hardening' them (we just started with most of the day outside, and bringing them in at night because the low is still right around 50 degrees). They seem happy, a few first flowers.

At the end of next week, we're heading out of town for a week, so we have two options:

- Keep them in-pot and leave them in our sunniest spot indoors (we could put them right next to a window where they would get multiple hours of sunlight per day, but it would be through a window). We're currently watering them every 3 - 4 days, so I worry that they'll dry out while we're gone, and it seems silly to pot them up for the week so we can transplant them again when we get home?

- Plant them outdoors between now & then. The low has crept up a few degrees, so we're looking more like 55 overnight. The highs will likely just hit 80 while we're gone. I could transplant soon, so they have at least a few days in-ground before we leave?

Thoughts/advice? For some reason planting them outside seemed 'riskier' to me, but I also think that they could get more water if I could put them in their much larger planter box before the trip...TYIA!
